Job purpose
Develop new sales opportunities in coordination with President – existing and new customers. Capture and communicate sales details throughout the sales process. Work closely with Operations to develop equipment and staffing needs, setup, implementation and ongoing performance expectations.
Deliver consistent sales growth across terminals and business units for trucking and material management.
Duties and responsibilities
- Sales Responsibility
- Review terminal sales weekly, forecasts and historical performance
- Communicate priorities to President & VP Operations for weekly, monthly and quarterly focus
- Communicate closely with Terminal Managers and VP of Operations – missing loads, lost lanes, pricing concerns, needed freight, new customer opportunities, etc
- Operations Responsibility
- Actively participate in all new sales development with President. Capture equipment, volume, lane, staffing and any other pertinent information
- Develop financial and operational performance plans with President, CFO and VP of Ops for optimal performance of new business
- New business launch to stability
- Work closely with President, VP ops and ISM to improve or remediate service concerns, pricing concerns, lost lanes or lost customers.
- Leadership Responsibility
- Engage in weekly meetings to discuss focus areas
- Capture sales development and evaluate further opportunities or directional changes
- Actively solicit information from President, CFO, VP Ops, Terminal Managers and ISM to prioritize weekly, monthly and quarterly focus
- Travel to Industry events for scrap, metals and waste industries to network with existing and future customers
- Travel to customer facilities and plants wherever possible to understand and evaluate customer needs
- Travel to other Terminals as required.
- Provides Professional Interface with Customers/Drivers/Employees – always representing Page.
- Regular Attendance & Punctuality
Skills Required
- Develop new sales opportunities and manage existing customer relationships

- Analyze terminal sales, forecasts and historical performance to set priorities
- Lead new business launches to stability including equipment, staffing and volume planning
- Travel to industry events, customer facilities and other terminals as required
- Provide professional interface with customers, drivers and employees
