About the role

The role is Enterprise sales focusing on every Fortune 1000 companies, Government bodies and Universities with a QIS Program. You will join a growing GTM Team with the autonomy to develop your business and pipeline and increase overall exposure to Q-CTRL’S Black Opal interactive quantum education platform on an international level. You will chase large global institutions, universities and states with Quantum education platforms and be responsible for directly adding to Q-CTRLs partner and reseller program enabling and engaging our partner ecosystem.


Reporting to the VP Sales & Marketing, this opportunity will also work closely with Marketing, Product Development and other internal departments to help you achieve success. You will need the strategic ability to navigate complex sales cycles fusing technical acumen, persuasive communication and customer empathy to achieve success. Having existing relationships (ideally within the education sector) will be a huge advantage as will being able to convey the value proposition of an online learning platform designed to make quantum computing accessible to everyone. Most importantly will be your ability to collaborate and communicate within a highly talented organization.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead all Black Opal related revenue-growth strategies and execution.
  • Create and implement processes to ensure smooth growth and execution of the sales pipeline, including managing existing industry-standard tools (e.g. Salesforce) and implementing new sales methods and tools as needed.
  • Establish clear direction to translate high-level strategies into ambitious, yet attainable plans, and constantly identify and close gaps in execution.
  • Work closely with stakeholders in product management and finance to make critical decisions and priority calls.
  • Become a known figure across the technical landscape of the quantum industry and drive large complex deals and opportunities in collaboration with senior leaders.

Ideally you'll have:

  • You must have 3+ years of industry experience in HigherEd SaaS sales.
  • A physical science degree or relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working/operating in the HigherEd and University marketsThe ability to have product integration conversations and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in early stage startups.
  • The ability to work autonomously as part of a small and growing team.
  • Experience with SFDC.

It would be fantastic if you have these skills/experience but not essential:

  • Experience with learning management systems.
  • Previous experience working with a large scale education platform.
