The Role
Lead regional sales growth in Manaus by owning end-to-end B2B sales for Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts, using local networks, managing complex deal cycles, and optimizing pipeline with sales and analytics tools to drive revenue and ensure smooth onboarding.
Summary Generated by Built In

Clara is the leading platform in Latin America for companies to execute and manage every payment operation. More than 50,000 leading and fast-growing businesses run on our corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments, and in 2025 the Financial Times named Clara the region’s fastest-growing company. We’re passionate about helping every company we work with become more effective—and, through that, raising the region’s competitiveness. We’re ~400 people, backed by Notable Capital, Coatue, Kaszek, monashees, DST Global, ICONIQ, General Catalyst and Goldman Sachs, among others.

What you'll do

We're looking for a Sales Lead to spearhead our growth in Manaus. In this role, you'll be instrumental in expanding Clara's footprint across both Mid-Market and Enterprise segments by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to revolutionize spend management for companies across Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Regional Sales Growth: Own and execute the end-to-end sales cycle for both scaling Mid-Market companies and complex Enterprise corporations in Manaus.

  • Leverage Local Network: Use your existing relationships and deep understanding of Manaus' business ecosystem, especially among decision-makers in finance, operations, and procurement, to open doors and generate qualified leads.

  • Manage Complex Deal Cycles: Navigate multi-stakeholder procurement and legal processes typical of Enterprise clients while maintaining a high-velocity pipeline for Mid-Market segments.

  • Optimize the Sales Engine: Utilize tools like HubSpot, Metabase, Amplemarket, and N8N to manage your pipeline, automate workflows, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to consistently improve conversion rates.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product, risk, legal, and customer success teams via Slack and Google Drive to align market strategies, unblock complex deals, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Must haves
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience managing a mix of Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  • Deep knowledge of the Manaus corporate landscape and an active local network among finance leaders, CFOs, and key corporate decision-makers.

  • Demonstrated capability to manage multi-stakeholder sales cycles, negotiate complex agreements, and interface confidently with C-level executives.

  • Working proficiency in English and fluent Portuguese, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience or interest in AI tools to automate workflows and optimize daily outreach.

  • Adaptability to fast-changing environments, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to operate independently.

Nice to haves
  • Experience selling complex SaaS, financial technology, ERP systems, or corporate card solutions.

  • Independent analytical skills using spreadsheets, SQL, or Python to dive into pipeline metrics and market data.

  • Basic proficiency in Spanish or a desire to learn it.

  • A good sense of humor.

How we work in this territory

Manaus is an emerging territory for Clara — there's no office to go into, so this role works remotely from Manaus day to day. You'll ramp up in person with the team, and come together in person for team moments, events and customer visits through the year.

Why Clara
  • A high talent-density team driven to make an impact in Latin America — low ego, high ownership.
  • Competitive salary and stock options (ESOP) from day one.
  • An annual learning budget and accelerated development paths.
  • English is our working language, with Spanish and Portuguese every day.
How we work
  • Clarity — Open and direct communication: we say what we mean and give context where it matters.
  • Simplicity — If it can be simpler, it should be.
  • Ownership — We own everything we do, end to end. When something needs to happen, we don't wait.
  • Pride — We hold ourselves to a high standard, and it shows in what we deliver.
  • ABC (Always Be Changing) — We adapt fast, embrace change, and keep learning.
  • Inclusivity — Diverse ideas, stories and perspectives build a better Clara.

If you meet the must-haves, apply — the nice-to-haves are a bonus, not a requirement.
