Job Description
The role of the Sales Intern is to drive business growth by analyzing the market and identifying new client opportunities, particularly within the fintech, small financial institutions and small business sectors. The intern will play an active role in shaping product offerings and commercial strategies, with a focus on maximizing client satisfaction. This opportunity provides a practical, hands-on experience in strategic business development. The candidate will have the opportunity to witness their efforts translate into tangible business results, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to grow in this field.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

  1. Perform comprehensive market analysis and develop a sales pipeline targeting fintech, small financial institutions, and enhance relationships with our established client base. This involves identifying potential clients, understanding their needs, and mapping out strategies to engage them.
  2. Define product offerings and commercial strategies. This includes understanding client needs, shaping product offerings to meet these needs, and developing commercial approaches that ensure client satisfaction.
  3. Manage business enablement follow-up and oversee program launches. This involves ensuring that all necessary steps are taken following business enablement, coordinating program launches, and collaborating with various Visa teams to ensure successful implementation.

This is a hybrid position out of the San Jose office. Expectation of days in the office with be shared by manager

Qualifications

  • Project Management Skills: Basic understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Business Analytics Knowledge: Familiarity with business analytics methods and tools.
  • Data Analysis Proficiency: Basic skills in data collection, organization, interpretation, and presentation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Utilizes Microsoft Office tools effectively for data processing, insight generation, and creation of collaborative documents and materials for both internal and external sales and commercial presentations.
  • English Proficiency: Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant Field of Study: Currently enrolled in a degree program related to business, finance, industrial engineering, data science, or a similar field.
  • Graduating from a bachelors in end of 2026/early 2027
