Sales Infrastructure Analyst (2 positions available)

The Sales Infrastructure Analyst role ensures operational excellence for the internal and external Sales Teams on critical tools and processes. This role is responsible for troubleshooting business processes or technology requests being raised by the Sales division, translating the requests, and determining the necessary actions for resolution. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring annual audits of all tools and technologies are within corporate standards. This role Is critical for the successful execution of trade promotion management, total volume planning, Sales systems, and data accuracy.

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years Sales and Support experience or relevant Internship

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PPT)

  • Demonstrates strong analytical, business acumen and technical ability.

  • Previous experience with High Radius, Salesforce or Power BI

  • Strong Communications skills (oral, written, and listening)

  •  Experience working directly with end users to help understand system ways of working (helpdesk, etc.)

  • Comfort around data

  • Willingness to travel (up to 10% of time)       

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Responsible for operational excellence and audit controls through tasks designed to ensure all tools, systems, processes, and data are available for the 500+ field sales representatives (associates and broker partners). 

  • As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) this role is to answer all questions the 500+ field sales associates may have on the coverage topics, training on proper usage, and ensuring the integrity of the action is aligned with any Mars best practices.  The SME is responsible for analyzing any exceptions to standard operating procedures and making recommendations to allow exceptions when it’s best for the associate/business.

  • Multiple Sales Infrastructure Analysts work as a team to handle all coverage topics. Each Analyst is expected to be the primary expert in one or more of these areas, and backup for all others, which requires that each Analyst has advanced knowledge of these coverage topics:

    • Stability and accuracy of sales reporting systems

      • Handling and resolving all questions and concerns related to the reporting environment.

      • Make recommendations on future systems upgrades based on latest business priorities.

  • Creation and publication of Sales communications while tracking the accuracy of open/read rate and follow through on any actions.

  • Trade Promotion Management system operations

  • Ownership to maintain accuracy of data in trade spend.

  • Train all end users on the correct use of all TPM tools

  • Trade deduction management

    • Functional expert ensuring over 5000 trade deductions are correctly allocated to the correct customer and trade budget.

  • Indirect Volume Reconciliation

  • Master data accuracy

  • Sales SharePoint site development and support

  • Respond to troubleshooting tickets generated by questions from field sales associates by:

    • Ensuring all facts are known to assume ownership of the next steps or resolution.

    • Determining and recommending next best action depending on the cause of the request and the overall business impact.  The SME will assess the situation and determine which of multiple resolution paths should be taken based on various indicators.  The analyst needs to analyze associate impact (time and engagement), financial impacts (GSV and spending costs).  This role will be expected to interpret the root cause of the concern and make recommendations for resolution.

    • Escalating/Transferring the concern to the appropriate team or business function when resolution ownership resides outside of the role’s responsibility.

    • Communicating the issue resolution progress to the Sales Infrastructure Manager, teammates and requesting broker/associate from start to resolution.

    • Partnering with the appropriate cross functional partner for a speedy issue resolution, aligned with the business impact, when resolution falls outside of the role’s responsibility.  This includes making recommendations for policy changes and exceptions when warranted.

    • Train the requester to see why the request is not valid, or working as expected, when applicable.  Design and create alternative options to meet the requestors’ needs.

  • Utilizing expertise and knowledge gained through day-to-day execution and issue resolution to recommend ideas for continuous improvement in both functional and technical improvements.  This includes the identification and ownership of both functional and technical improvements to existing business processes.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range listed is applicable to IL:USD 74,511.00 - USD 102,453.00

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of sales and support experience or relevant internship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, business acumen, and technical skills
  • Previous experience with HighRadius, Salesforce, or Power BI
  • Strong oral, written, and listening communication skills
  • Experience working directly with end users to understand system functionality, such as helpdesk experience
