Job Title: Sales Finance Specialist
Location: UK or Ireland
Reports to: Sr Sales Finance Manager
Job Overview:
An opportunity has arisen within the Commercial Team for a Sales Finance Specialist to partner closely with the Pan‑European Sales organisation, reporting to the Finance Manager.
In this role, you will support contract structuring across Cadence’s full portfolio to maximise value for both customers and Cadence. You will act as a key link between Sales and internal teams, providing commercial and financial insight throughout the contract lifecycle, from pre‑sale through post‑sale execution.
You will apply a strong understanding of different business models to recommend structures that support long‑term customer success while meeting Cadence’s statutory and commercial requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Support multiple regions across Europe from a European base
Advise Sales teams on contract structure and commercial considerations
Provide guidance on contracts pre‑ and post‑sale, including issue resolution
Act as a point of coordination between Sales, Credit, Revenue Accounting and Legal teams
Liaise with delivery teams on all services‑related engagements
Own contract flow from negotiation through order management processing and credit management
Coordinate with commission accounting teams
Balance statutory, business and customer requirements in contract execution
Maintain clear and effective internal communication with stakeholders
Manage and work within enterprise systems (e.g. SAP, Salesforce, CPQ, JIRA, eDAoT or similar)
Produce ad‑hoc commercial and financial reporting as required
Travel occasionally to support regional stakeholders (approximately 10%)
Job Qualifications:
Essential
Good commercial acumen with the ability to assess and advise on contract structures
Sound technical accounting knowledge
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple stakeholders
Experience engaging confidently with Sales professionals at all levels
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset
Finance background or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable
Experience supporting commercial sales organisations
Exposure to multiple regions, including understanding of MEA considerations in contract structures
Experience working with enterprise finance, sales and contract management systems
