Job Description:
The Sales Finance Manager will partner with Sales Leadership and Sales Account Managers to provide financial direction, guidance and decision support to achieve profitable growth. Responsibilities within this role will include financial modeling, driving P&L improvement, driving share and profitable growth, efficient resource utilization, and leading customer IRRs (integrative reconciliation review) for our pet specialty and ecommerce retailers. It may be needed to analyze complex business information and draw out key messages or gather assumptions for a business activity and financially model a scenario. It is also about being a thinking partner, challenging assumptions, identifying trends and provoking fresh thinking. This role partners across demand functions including Sales, Marketing, SRM, and Customer Supply teams.
What are we looking for?CIMA or MBA (preferred) or relevant business experience required
5+ years of Trade Investment, Financial Analysis and/or Financial Accounting experience
Relevant knowledge of financial concepts Business Acumen including knowledge of a required market and experience working in Demand Finance
Financial modeling experience
Strong Excel skills and experience with PowerBI
Shape financial strategy and relevant targets for specific customer accounts, learning their mechanics and business models in order to develop and define the P&L.
Lead Customer Integrated Reconciliation Review step in S&OP process and financial forecasting for Retailers.
Provide decision support for ad-hoc activities which financially impact the business or channel. For example, financial modeling of pricing, customer led and/or Mars led initiatives, business case for new pack development & diagnosing the root cause of performance issues.
Work closely with Customer Development/Sales Account Managers through the annual JBP development /sign off.
Lead investment proposals and collaboratively work with Customer Development Managers on any new business in the channel- ensuring pricing, investment levels and range maximize growth & profit for Mars within our pricing corridors.
Deliver and encourage a strong governance culture within the specific account customer.
Ensure adherence to Trade Spend budgets throughout the year and take corrective action where necessary.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
