SALES EXECUTIVE
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the local market and competitor activity to drive room revenue and increase occupancy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, tour operators, event planners, and key local partners.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and client visits to generate transient, group, and extended-stay business.
- Assist in implementing sales strategies established by the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
- Support the management and growth of OTA, and wholesalers to maximize production and visibility.
- Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback, providing insights and recommendations to the Director of Sales.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries, proposals, and requests for quotations in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with contract preparation, rate agreements, and account maintenance in accordance with hotel policies.
- Coordinate and host hotel site inspections, familiarization trips, and client show rounds.
- Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, community events, and industry functions as required.
- Work closely with Front Office and Room Operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience and successful execution of group and corporate business.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities within the hotel's CRM and Property Management System.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports, including sales calls, appointments, lead generation, account production, and market intelligence.
- Support the Director of Sales with promotional campaigns, special offers, and revenue-generating initiatives.
- Utilize the Property Management System (PMS), channel management platforms, and other sales tools effectively to manage accounts and business opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, hotel sales, or a related customer-facing environment.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships and achieve revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, room inventory management, and revenue generation principles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities with a customer-focused approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience using Delphi.fdc and OnQ PMS is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional hotel departments.
- Professional appearance and demeanor with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally for sales calls, client meetings, and networking events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for client events and business development activities.
- Knowledge of the local tourism and hospitality market is an asset.
- Fluency in English required.
Hourly Wage: US$11.00– US$14.00 per hour + gratuities
