Job Context
Simpro Group is the AI-first operating platform trusted by more than 24,000 trade businesses and 450,000 users across the US, Australia, and the UK. We just made our biggest move yet: the launch of Lightning, an AI-native platform built specifically for field service trades - not a bolt-on, not a retrofit, but purpose-built AI at the core of everything we do.At the heart of Lightning is Cooper, the AI brain that powers the platform - functioning as a strategic business partner that answers questions, surfaces problems before they escalate, streamlines communications, and continuously learns the rhythms of each business it serves.
This is a rare moment to join a category-defining company mid-leap. We're looking for a Sales Engineer who can match our ambition.
What You’ll Do
You won't just demo software, you'll show trade businesses a fundamentally better way to run. In this role you will:
Translate the power of Simpro Lightning and Cooper AI into real, measurable outcomes for field service businesses - think tighter margins turned into genuine profit
Partner closely with the sales team to understand each prospect's operational pain points and craft demonstrations that hit home
Own the technical conversation: tackle complex questions about our platform, integrations, and AI capabilities with confidence and clarity
Build trusted relationships with operations leads, IT decision-makers, and business owners at trade companies
Develop deep mastery of Simpro's full product suite - Lightning, Cooper, and the broader platform ecosystem - and stay ahead of how it evolves
Champion the voice of the customer back to our product teams, turning field insights into product improvements
Keep a sharp eye on the competitive landscape in field service management, so you always know where we win
What You’ll Bring
Experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or technical pre-sales role - ideally within SaaS or enterprise software
Hands-on familiarity with Field Service Management (FSM) software is a strong advantage - you understand the world our customers live in
A genuine curiosity about AI and how it applies to operational workflows - you can speak to Lightning and Cooper in a way that excites, not intimidates
The ability to make complex technology feel simple and compelling for non-technical audiences
Strong relationship-building instincts - you earn trust quickly, from the office manager to the CEO
A collaborative, low-ego approach - you work best when the team wins together
Willingness to travel for client meetings, demos, and industry events
A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field is a plus - but demonstrated capability matters more
What We Can Offer You
Novated leasing via salary packaging
Employee Assistance Program (24/7 confidential support on relationships, bereavement, finances)
Generous Parental Leave Program
Paid Volunteer Leave Days
Public Holiday Exchange Scheme
Talent Referral Program – get rewarded for referring a friend to join our team!
