Sales Engineer

As part of the expansion of its activities in Algeria, a golden technical sales opportunity exists within Flowserve Algeria. The position entails managing key accounts within Algeria as well as business development from engineering firms. The candidate will work with the Engineering team to convey requirements to the Customer and provide insight into the technical options available for Pumps and Mechanical Seals and Systems.

Responsabilities

• Analysis of business needs and definition of customers requirements in conjunction with the Applications Engineering team.

• Determine technical requirements for any project work.

• Understanding of pump principles of operation, system analysis, Fluid Mechanics as it applies to pumps and their systems.

• Interpret industry standards, technical drawings and manufacturing procedures.

• Read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.

• Respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

• Communicate effectively with customers and Flowserve business units and QRCs at various organizational levels located globally.

• Respect the rules for safety and the environment.

• Comply with Company Policies and procedures and maintain company image.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years Sales experience on Pump and Seals/Systems.

• Proven track record of selling, building, and/or deploying technology solutions.

• Proven experience in providing basic to complex Pump and Seals/system solutions to customers.

• Outstanding pre-and post-sales account management and follow-through skills, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.

• Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Technical sales support experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills; professional presentation skills, self-starter, cooperative attitude, team player.

• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented, multi-tasking, and able to deal with tight deadlines and stress.

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Hydraulic or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be based in Flowserve Algiers office and will be required to travel in the assigned region to visits various customers sites.
