Sales Engineer - Trimble Construction Solutions

Trimble is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team, You will be the trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them on how Trimble's technology can optimize their projects, boost efficiency, and improve profitability.
Roles and Responsibilities

Work closely with select large Customers in the construction industry (Owners, EPCs) to understand their project workflow and embed Trimble workflow solutions.

Work with project partners (design consultants, project consultants, trades, other vendors) to identify and implement synergies. Work closely with various Trimble divisions to localize/refine their solutions to the Indian construction market.

Define customer objectives, understand their needs, existing way of working, solutions/technology used, understand gaps, budget, and position Trimble Portfolio.

Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors and Engage at all levels in the account (CXO, Middle level, and working level).

Identify gaps in the system and prepare workflows/reports aligned with Digital project delivery.

Play an integral role in business pitches and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of clients on Digital project delivery.

Proactively lead a joint customer-Trimble strategic workflow that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for Digital project delivery. Assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis. Communicate the progress of initiatives on agreed periods to internal and external stakeholders.

Explain Return on Investments to customers and achieve measured success from these customers and narrate story/advantages of Digital project delivery. Scale up sales of Trimble products to the select customers and achieve sales quota.
Required Skills

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience of 8-10 years in technical sales or growth roles in Construction Management (Reliability improvements, disruption management etc.), Construction technologies, Data, Communication, BIM processes and IT solutions in construction (hardware, software and services).

Strong understanding of Survey, BIM and construction workflows and associated challenges.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Ability to build rapport and trust with customers and organization management effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Travel: 60-70% of the time. These include visits to remote project sites.
Preferred Skills

Experience with Trimble construction software or hardware.

Familiarity with construction project management principles.

Professional certifications related to construction or sales.
