Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of those about to become customers in an effort to maximize their experience with SOTI products. This includes, providing technical support, revenue generation in net new customer acquisition and add-on sales, partner enablement training and following up on existing support cases as needed. This position demands that one maintains a high level of customer service through all interactions as a SOTI representative and consistently engage with the sales team to identify revenue opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow revenue through consultative selling with clients and prospects
  • Collaborating with regional sales team consultatively with client/stakeholders. Helping them to envision the possibility of mobility
  • Perform production demonstrations that articulate the business and technical value of SOTI solutions
  • Educate on and facilitate SOTI solutions that can effectively address both business and technical outcomes, positioning business value to decision makers in customer organizations
  • Present the solution architecture, including all technical aspects of the product and supporting systems
  • Provide pre-sales technical support, installing and configuring enterprise software solutions during POC to prospective customers
  • Communicate with internal product development teams to resolve product issues & generate recommendations for product roadmaps (feature request)
  • Assist with execution of internal team projects and initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience with experience related to mobile device management solutions and enterprise mobility (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows), BYOD, SaaS
  • Prior experience working in a technical customer-facing role. Ideally as a pre-sales / sales engineer
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles (DNS, IP network, Firewalls, etc)
  • Knowledge with Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Application Management (IAM), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Identity provider (IdP),
  • Knowledge of certificate authorities, certificate management & distribution, encryption methodologies (SHA1/2, TLS etc)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP protocol and identity management systems
  • Understanding and experience with Databases (i.e. MS SQL server, MY-SQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs
  • Understanding and/or knowledge of business processes & sales cycle
  • Understanding of containerization and virtualization
  • Work autonomous with minimum supervision
  • Able to plan, prioritize and organize workload, consistently working within service standards and agreed objectives
  • Must be a Japanese Native with strong English Level Skills
  • Must have strong presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team

Nice to have skills

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Exchange or equivalent experience
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
  • Android Enterprise professional
  • Any formal sales training - value selling, SPIN, Miller Heiman
  • Understanding of Rest APIs and coding (i.e. Java Scripting, HTML, etc.)
  • Understanding or knowledge of Cloud Computing
  • Experience with customer service / Incident management software
