Overview & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Obtain assigned bookings for Global Services (GS) products:
-
Act as principal customer interface.

Acquire skills and experience in various policies and procedures, i.e., CRM, Compliance, HSE etc.

Act as customer and company liaison.
-
Manage assigned and develop new business within assigned territory.
This will be a remote position, but the candidate must live near the assigned sales territory. The territory is the Texas Gulf Coast Region: Houston, Deer Park, Freeport, and Texas City.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Obtain assigned bookings on aftermarket services to ensure budgeted sales revenue.

Develop existing customers, pursuing both Elliott and non-Elliott opportunities.

Identify and contact new customers to further expand sales base and revenue potential.

Manage time and expenses to ensure coverage of key revenue sources while pursuing new target areas.

Negotiate commercial terms of sale.

As principal customer interface, advise management of changing customer market requirements.

Manage customer relationship and opportunity pipeline thru CRM
-
Recommend actions based on competitive circumstances.

Complete special projects as assigned by Regional Sales management.

Complete all compulsory training as instructed by Management
-
Act as customer advocate in matters involving communication of requirements and execution of Responsibilities.
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
-
A good technical knowledge of mechanical equipment within the Petro Chemical, Chemical, Refining, Power Generation and related manufacturing environments

An engineering degree (BSME) or equivalent, 5 - 10 years industry and related work experience
-
The ability to translate technical knowledge and skills into saleable ideas and proposals
-
Specific work experience in industrial service field sales preferably within the energy and manufacturing sector where Turbo Machinery (high speed rotating equipment such as Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Pumps) are used within the processing and manufacturing plant environment.

The ability to communicate quickly, clearly, persuasively and tactfully with customers

Strong interpersonal skills

Verbal and written communication skills

Personal Computer literacy and common programs, i.e., Excel, MS Office, etc.

Promotional and selling skills to go after and close business in both familiar and new markets

Ability to organize and manage time and territory in a motivated, self-directed manner

Ability and willingness to travel to remote customer sites on weekly basis
