Responsibilities:
- Analyzes engine sales opportunities in the territory and systematically targets business opportunities with new OEMs
- Documents the engine and component specifications required by individual customers
- Monitors and manages Accounts Payable and Receivable to ensure they are current
- Documents sales quotations for customers using standard Ziegler formatting
- Coordinates the activities of support divisions within Ziegler and Caterpillar to manage product field service and product quality issues
- Tracks sales opportunities using Ziegler-approved software
- Works in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
- Finds new OEM customers and grow business within Ziegler’s territory.
- Works directly with the customer’s engineering personnel to analyze their power systems needs and assists them in finding the most efficient product solution
- Acts as key negotiator on all commercial aspects of assigned accounts
- Maintains responsibility for changes in engineering specifications and documents these changes using the Engineer Change Notice (ECN)
- Compiles appropriate technical information to support engine proposals for customer consideration and coordinates actions to correct chronic product reliability issues in the field.
- Works with customers to specify and locate all components required to install Caterpillar engines
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of technical sales experience
- Personal Attributes: Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Attention to Detail, Sociability, Achievement Orientation
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of internal combustion engine installations and drive trains
- Excellent ability to negotiate and influence
- Analytical and able to problem solve independently
- Must have and maintain a clean driving record
Travel:
- Up to 50% travel
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
- Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be moderate at times.

The total compensation (base plus incentive) for this position is
$133,300.00 to $200,000.00Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, and education. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
