Meet the TeamAs Sales Engineers we work directly with prospects and customers to understand their technical challenges and demonstrate how our solutions address their needs. We develop trusted relationships by actively listening, articulating value clearly, and guiding customers through the evaluation process. We are highly collaborative, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Who You Are- You value personal relationships, camaraderie, collaboration, and accountability
- You’ve spent the last 3+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or related role or a BS in Computer Science with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
- You have a demonstrated history working with the technical tools in CI/CD, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- And you’re always trying to stay ahead of the curve
- Passion for developing expertise in Argo, Kargo, and the broader cloud-native ecosystem (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, value-focused product demonstrations.
- You enjoy engaging with customers both onsite and remotely to build relationships and support evaluations.
- Eager to collaborate with Sales to build and execute go-to-market strategies.
- Engage in technical discussions with prospects and customers throughout the buying lifecycle.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales and Product Marketing to develop and deliver high-impact presentations, custom demos, and proof of concepts.
- Create sample solutions and tailored use cases to showcase Akuity’s platform capabilities.
- Collect detailed customer requirements to inform accurate scoping and resource planning for implementations.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and advocate for their needs internally.
Your first 30 days…
- Sharing your knowledge and experience from by asking the right questions
- Autonomous early - you have your onboarding plan and you’re checking off boxes every day
- You’ve introduced yourself to the AEs, learned about their bottlenecks and customer pain points and you’re shadowing calls
- It feels like you’ve been here longer than a month (in a good way)
By the end of 90 days…
- You’ve founded a relationship with marketing that contributes to our messaging
- You’re building your personal brand - webinars, conferences, etc.
- Your peers, coworkers, and external partners see you as a collaborator and know you as someone whose actions meet their words
By six months you will…
- You’re feeling good about your tech wins, helped the team close some deals, participating in marketing events, and you’re a trusted partner to your coworkers

Skills Required
- 3+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or related role
- BS in Computer Science with at least 2 years of relevant experience (alternative to experience)
- Demonstrated experience with CI/CD, infrastructure, and cloud environments
- Familiarity or willingness to develop expertise in Argo, Argo CD, Kargo, Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build and deliver value-focused product demonstrations
- Willingness to engage with customers onsite and remotely and travel quarterly
- Ability to collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing, and Engineering to create demos, POCs, and go-to-market activities
