About the RoleThe Sales Engineer supports the full sales cycle for engineered and manufacturing‑based solutions by applying technical knowledge in a customer‑facing environment. This role partners closely with customers to understand defined requirements and works cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Production to help deliver accurate, feasible, and value‑driven solutions.
This is a hands‑on, execution‑focused role ideal for someone who enjoys translating technical concepts into practical customer outcomes while continuing to build depth in manufacturing, engineered products, and technical sales. The Sales Engineer operates with guidance from senior team members on more complex or highly customized opportunities.
- Support technical sales opportunities from initial customer engagement through quoting and order handoff
- Assist with technical discovery conversations to understand customer requirements, applications, and constraints
- Provide technical support during the sales process, including product recommendations, configuration options, and application guidance
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and cost estimates based on defined customer requirements and manufacturing capabilities
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to validate solution feasibility and support accurate quoting
- Participate in customer meetings, site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations as needed
- Maintain and grow customer relationships through responsive communication and follow‑through
- Support internal coordination to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolution of customer issues
- Contribute to sales pipeline growth and support achievement of sales targets
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM systems
- Comply with company safety policies and operational standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, applications engineering, or manufacturing‑adjacent roles
- Working knowledge of technical products, engineered solutions, or manufacturing processes
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and accurately to customers
- Experience supporting the sales cycle, including customer discovery, quoting, proposals, and internal coordination
- Comfort collaborating cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Production teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft 365, and basic quoting or order management systems
- Willingness to travel locally or regionally to support customers and sales efforts
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, electrical systems, switchgear, or engineered‑to‑order products
- Exposure to RFQs, BOMs, drawings, or technical specifications
- Experience working in an onsite or hybrid manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with longer or moderately complex sales cycles
- Basic understanding of manufacturing cost drivers, pricing inputs, or margin considerations

The base pay range for this role is $90 – $120 per year.
