Job Description:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for solution architecture, POC and pre-sales activity for customers. The Sales Engineer will work closely with the Territory Sales Director and the Territory Sales Engineering Team to deliver the region sales targets.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding the customer’s challenges and business requirements, defining appropriate technical solutions; and leading demonstration of the solution within the JAKO territory, including Product and solution presentations to customers.
- Understand the customer’s challenges and business needs and help in defining appropriate technical solutions using available Allot and partner technologies.
- Deliver Customer Workshops for Allot Solutions and Products
- Support Tender and RFx responses with the sales team.
- Lead Proof of Concepts, trials and demo at partner or Allot sites including all relevant documentation (Technical Proposal, Test Proposal, etc.)
- Take ownership of technical relationships within customers and partners
- Assist other Allot functions (TAC, R&D, Etc.) with on-site activities as needed.
- Partner training and updates
- Perform installations and upgrades as needed.
- Experience of 5+ years’ experience in solution design or implementation with direct interfacing with customer
- Proven direct customer facing skills and experience.
- Excellent and proven Verbal and Written communication skills
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix, database systems, networking protocols, public cloud technologies and security services
- Extensive travel within the JAKO region will be required.
- Fluent English is a must
Interpersonal skills:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and stay focused, while working as part of a spread-out team of technical experts
- Self-motivated and able to technically lead a project throughout its lifecycle.
- Able to liaise with all customer and partner levels including senior management to lead in providing solutions and explain technologies.
Technical Skills:
- CCNP/CCSP or equivalent desired
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of Public Cloud Technology
- Highly technical and with hands on experience in IP networking including work with network equipment (routers, routing protocols, firewalls, VPN devices, DPI devices, network management tools)
- Scripting skills – especially Linux
- Technical or Customer training experience – an advantage
- Familiarity with Security and DDoS products and standards – and advantage
Education:
- Bachelor or MSc degree / equivalent desirable
