Together, we’re shaping the future by enabling customers to make pivotal decisions that safeguard communities and power progress.As a Sales Engineer - Identity & Access Management you will be the technical lead for driving sales success within our Sales & Marketing team.
Reporting to Manager of Sales Engineering APAC, you will be responsible for providing pre-sales technical support related to all Thales Cyber Security and Digital Identity products including FIDO keys, SaaS/on-premises IDPs, CIAM, ID verification, fraud detection across our ASEAN region. You will focus on supporting Re-selling, Solution and SI partners, as well as direct accounts with an emphasis on unsurpassed customer satisfaction and timely response to customer/partner feedback.
Responsibilities
Assist sales team to identify, qualify and quantify all opportunities within your assigned region and articulate the technical value proposition.
Pre-sales technical support, conducting product demonstrations, developing proof-of-concepts (POCs), responding to RFPs/RFIs, and designing tailored solutions.
Provide field support on critical post-sales support issues to achieve unsurpassed customer satisfaction.
Work with sales team to develop and enhance customer and partner relationships.
Create and deliver accurate and technically correct sales presentations and proposals both directly to end users and partners.
Involve in communication with customers and partners on product changes, product upgrades and product innovations.
Provides feedback and marketing intelligence to sales team and product marketing team to ensure company’s products remain competitive in the market.
Participate and represent Thales CPL at appropriate user conferences and trade shows.
Provides weekly reports on SE activities and other duties assigned.
Requirement
University degree in Management Information System, Computing or similar subject.
Minimum 5 years of technical experience in IT industry with at least 2 years in a customer facing role.
Ability to develop and enhance customer/partner relationships.
Consultative selling skill, capable of discovering customer pains and proposing solutions.
Good presentation skill, capable to articulate technical proposals to decision makers at both technical and business levels (from IT administrator to CISO).
Capable of working independently under sales objectives assigned by regional sales director.
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated and a good team player.
Willing to take challenging work.
Comfortable with travelling 35% of the time within Asia.
Knowledge of solution integration and application development, although programming will not necessarily be part of the duty.
Highly Desirable Technical Skills and Experiences:
Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts.
Experience with MFA, IGA, IAM, CIAM and PAM solutions.
Experience with CIAM and API-based design/deployment.
Experience with SAML, SCIM, OAuth, OpenID, as well as general networking technologies including HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, TCP/IP, RADIUS, Firewall, Proxy...etc.
Knowledge on Microsoft AD on-premises, Azure AD, LDAP, Single sign on (SSO), Federated Identities and database technologies.
Experience with and certificate-based authentication, Cryptographic APIs like PKCS#11, MS CAPI/CNG.
Experience with one or more major cloud providers (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS).
Deployment of web servers, application servers and database servers as well as experience in Windows and Linux operating systems.
Relevant security or professional certifications are beneficial; CISSP, CISM, etc.
