Position Summary

Join Stryker’s dynamic Joint Reconstruction Division as a Sales Enablement Trainer, where you will play a pivotal role in driving top-line revenue growth by shaping the future of our elite sales force. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, innovative professional to design and deliver cutting-edge training programs that empower our Joint Reconstruction and Mako & Enabling Technologies sales teams to achieve unparalleled success.

 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and leadership teams within the JR MET Division to identify critical sales competencies that define top performers and create engaging content, curricula, and digital platforms to support professional development at every career stage. By researching and addressing skill gaps, you will design impactful classroom courses, in-field training initiatives, and digital learning experiences tailored to our sales teams’ needs.

 

Ideal candidate will develop a structured sales enablement pathway focused on essential sales skills, ensuring seamless application across our JR MET sales forces. You will spearhead training initiatives that cover varying job profiles withing our sales force with measurable outcomes to track success.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

·        Specializes in sales skills training and continues to build a customized Stryker Sales Skills curriculum(objection handling, customer targeting, sales process) inclusive of digital modules, territory application exercises, live instruction and sales tracking to measure

effectiveness of curriculum

·        Obtains continuing education on presentation, negotiation, executive sales skills to utilize expertise to build Stryker courses and programs or create supplemental content inclusive of: digital modules, virtual presenting curriculum and in person course curriculum

with final presentation for participants 

·        Ability to tailor training curriculums to relevant clinical focus as well as differentiate capital vs disposable vs implant portfolio.  Understanding the nuances between selling different solutions is vital.

·        Responsible for creating and delivering Stryker customized complex selling curriculum that is applicable across all business units and aligns/tracks competitive conversions with sales initiatives   

·        Responsible for generating consistent meetings, touch points and communication strategy with key stakeholders (HR/Sales Leaders/business partners) across the division to inform and gain feedback about professional development courses and programs

·        Strategic design of Sales Excellence framework inclusive of metrics, business summary proposal and presentation to stakeholders to reflect the learning and development path of participants to align with commerical priorities.

·        Capable of vendor management: obtain certifications, monitor hours and budgetary spend and helps in negotiation process to evaluate cost savings and budget restrictions in third party spend

·        Works with third party vendors to help deliver and supplement content for professional development sales courses and organizes course logistics including speakers, travel, and lodging

·        Responsible for the constant updating and evolution of all in-field learning programs to meet the evolving needs of the sales force(checklists/calls/program launch material) across Endo division

·        Obtain learning content from subject matter experts to enhance learning curriculum for programs and courses

·        Determine objectives and learning metrics for sales education programs to assess ROI, efficiency and effectiveness

·        Responsible for attending and curating case study content and simulation questions

·        Obtain certification and help faciliate 3rd party (Matrix) selling skills curriculum, content and courses

 

Education & special trainings:

·        Bachelor’s Degree

 

Qualifications & experience:

·        At least 8 years of orthopedics/robotics medical device OR experience with a strong track record of success

·        Experience in teaching, mentoring, coaching, and developing others

·        Demonstrates patience and a passion for educating others

·        Ability to take complex concepts and skills into small, approachable steps.

·        Ability to tailor coaching and training specific to an individual or nuanced business matter rather than a one sized fits all approach.

·        Demonstrates ability to prioritize and execute objectives in a timely manner

·        Has a positive attitude and is solution-oriented


Physical & mental requirements:

·        Exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs of force constantly to move objects

·        Must be able to travel

·        Must be able to communicate with large groups of people

·        Must be able to communicate telephonically

·        Must be able to use common office equipment

·        Must be able to maintain appropriate credentials to attend live surgeries or training labs

·        Must be able to read/write

·        Must be solution oriented

·        Must be proficient in graphic design/PowerPoint skills, digital platform management, and design

·        Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs

·        Must be able to give constructive feedback in training scenarios

·        Must be able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment

·        Must be able to think critically and identify educational/training needs

 

Travel Percentage: 20%
