The Sales Enablement Associate is responsible for supporting the sales organization by coordinating and facilitating the development and delivery of timely, accurate new business quotes and related proposal materials. This role focuses on enabling the quoting process through strong collaboration with internal teams and external partners. A key aspect of the role is managing the local relationship with a strategic distribution partner for Reliance Matrix, requiring a solid understanding of group insurance pricing principles, contract structures, and a strong service orientation.
Quoting Operations
Support all aspects of the pre-sale and new business quoting process by coordinating with internal teams and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of quote materials.
Facilitate the completion of assigned requests for proposals (RFPs) across product lines including life, disability, voluntary, and supplemental health, by gathering necessary information and collaborating with pricing and underwriting teams.
Assist in the holistic pricing of group insurance cases by ensuring alignment with strategic pricing and underwriting guidelines, without directly performing rating functions.
Conduct quality checks and support audit processes for quote accuracy, coordinating with rating teams to address corrections or revisions as needed.
Coordinate final rating and take-to-sold activities by ensuring all required documentation and approvals are in place.
Process “Decline to Quote” (DTQ) and “Clear to Quote” (CTQ) requests from other regions by facilitating communication and documentation flow.
Set up and track new RFPs in internal systems to ensure visibility and timely follow-up.
Provide back-up support for other sales support team members during absences or periods of high volume.
Conduct follow-up communications with field sales representatives and distribution partners to ensure quotes are delivered appropriately and on time.
Assist users with Reliance Matrix quoting platforms and tools by offering guidance, troubleshooting, and training support.
Participate in required training sessions to stay current on systems, processes, and product knowledge.
Strategic Partner Support
Serve as a responsive and knowledgeable point of contact for a key strategic distribution partner, ensuring timely communication and resolution of inquiries.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of Reliance Matrix’s group insurance contracts and clearly articulate product features and differences compared to competitors.
Provide ongoing support, training, and education to the partner’s team, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented relationship.
Act as a trusted advisor to the partner, helping navigate quoting tools, product options, and case strategy.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure partner needs are met and feedback is incorporated into process improvements.
Sales Relationship Management
Support sales and service of Group Products to producers within the assigned territory, contributing to achievement of sales goals by line of business.
Assist in the development and engagement of brokers within the territory.
Adhere to established Field and Home Office administrative procedures and underwriting guidelines.
Provide service to policyholders and brokers as necessary.
Develop and maintain cooperative partnerships with Administrative Office Departments and ensure effective communication with Regional Sales Staff, distribution partners, brokers, and/or home office counterparts.
Participate in conversations with Underwriting to relay rating and RFP information, discuss cases, and offer recommendations and solutions.
Communicate with sales representatives, management, and counterparts regarding workloads and prioritization.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience
Associates Degree (AS/AA), Bachelors Preferred
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced, high volume and deadline-oriented environment. Minimum of 1 year experience Rating/Quoting/Pre-Sale Specialist work.
Life/Health license a plus
Ability to develop and maintain proficiency regarding required RSL products, systems and processes related to the effective delivery of new business proposals.
Experience and proficient in the areas of administration, data processing and general clerical support
Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
A deadline/results orientation and extraordinary attention to detail
Excellent math skills
Basic customer service experience
Verbal and written communication skills
Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
