Dealerware is looking for a full-time Sales Director to join our Customer Experience team, who is exceptional at generating new business and building new relationships with Dealerships and Dealer Groups. As a Sales Director at Dealerware, you will proactively and urgently generate sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and marketing, aligning the company with Dealership, Dealer Group, and OEM success metrics. You are responsible for all sales activity and revenue growth, including leading acquisition efforts, utilizing the MEDDIC methodology for dealer qualification, conducting in-depth product demonstrations, generating expansion and upsell revenue, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas. You will also proactively work with the members of the Sales organization to generate, share, and employ successful regional and dealer growth strategies. The Sales Director also maintains detailed opportunity tracking, acts as the voice of the customer, and contributes as a thought leader to drive ongoing value and revenue attainment strategies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively acquire new business, strengthening and influencing key automotive dealer relationships.
  • Identify and define prospects and growth opportunities in your territory. Develop an overall sales plan and forecast sales results for both the short and long term. 
  • Lead and develop the strategic sales and customer acquisition plans for your assigned territory based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
  • Proactively work with the members of the Sales organization to generate, share, and employ successful regional, dealer, group, and OEM growth strategies. 
  • Oversee the negotiations of contracts required to ensure corporate revenue goals are met.
  • Work collaboratively with all areas of business to develop and meet financial goals.
  • Maintain good working relationships with existing dealerships to enhance dealership retention and new sales through referrals and references.
  • Mastery and continuous learning of the product offering and evolving value proposition of Dealerware.
  • Lead the creation, testing, and iteration of templated email prospect and customer communications.
  • Maintain detailed opportunity tracking and sales process management, Manage and ensure clean SFDC data and accuracy of forecast.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years in an outside sales role selling complex solutions to automotive dealerships or OEM/dealer group experience
  • Extensive list of Dealership contacts 
  • Up to 50% travel in the field, including overnight travel
  • Experience using consultative solution selling to align client’s business needs with a solution
  • Demonstrated proven track record selling B2B
  • College Degree (preferred, not required)

Even better if you have (strongly preferred):

  • SaaS experience in the automotive industry
  • Automotive/fleet management/mobility experience
  • Salesforce.com experience preferred
