Responsibilities and Impact:

The Sales Associate Director will be a member of the high growth Tax Solutions team, which is responsible for delivering and maintaining tax technology, managed services and professional services.  You will be working with both new and existing clients across the Americas, mainly financial services organizations, to drive new business for a range of operational tax regulations, particularly around US Tax Information Reporting & Withholding (IRW). As a Sales Associate Director, you are a critical part of the broader Tax Solutions team. This role will require collaboration with the global Sales, Commercial and Product teams and requires a candidate with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, resilience and excellent presentation skills.

The Sales Associate Director will be guided by the Sales Lead to set the sales strategy for their remit, but ultimately the expectation is for them to have autonomy and freedom to develop business in their region. Core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Development and execution on a sales strategy

  • Demonstrate understanding of the S&P Tax Solutions suite of services and work collaboratively with Tax subject matter experts to position client solutions that solves customer’s tax related challenge(s)

  • Collaborate with broader internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Commercial Leads, wider business partners) to realise synergies between Tax Solutions and broader S&P Global product set.

  • Building a pipeline, developing proposals, structuring agreements and managing relationships.

  • Be entrepreneurial -- stay current with industry news to develop initiatives and attract prospects.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $102,387 to $150,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 5–8 years of experience in business development with a focus on solution selling.

  • Strong negotiation skills to close deals.

  • Experience of managing a sales plan.

  • Experience of managing client meetings and navigating stakeholders at clients and prospects.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Salesforce.

  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well in teams.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in business, finance, or related subjects, Tax qualifications will be a plus.

  • Experience selling into the financial services segment, focusing on Operations, Tax, Compliance and Technology departments.

  • Knowledge and experience of financial services, specifically in operations and/or tax regulations such as 1042-S/ 1099 reporting, W-8/ W-9 form due diligence and US withholding taxes.

  • Background in selling solutions.
