Sales Director is responsible for driving sales growth, profitability, and market expansion across the EMEAI region. Leads country sales teams, develops strategic customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and delivers regional sales and P&L objectives while building a high-performing organization.

Preferred Location: France (remote)

Other locations: Germany, Netherlands

Responsibilities

 

  1. Responsibility for the development of the strategic direction and execution for the EMEAI sales and technical organization in their region:

  • Create strategic EMEAI sales plan that realizes year on year gallon growth 

  • Deliver the organization P&L targets on a consistent basis, keeping a focus on top and bottom-line growth

  • Ensure development, implementation, and evaluation of country sales plans including specific KPI’s for each market/country

  • Set up their country sales organization to deliver on growth year-on-year

  • Identify key strategic regional customers and develop multi-level relationships to drive business growth through larger customers

  • Lead change internally and externally; Lead the Industrial Wood sales strategy 

  • Develop and execute plans to identify further sales channels and segments with existing customers

  • Drive and report on progress of our plans by having monthly Business Review meetings

 

  1. Business development strategy

  • Actively drive the growth strategy of Industrial Wood EMEAI by identifying new market opportunities 

  • Work with Segment marketing managers to build concrete plans to win business in each market

  • Critically reviews progress against plan to continuously assess commercial potential, adjusting as necessary in order to assure optimal profitability.

  • Identifies and develops potential internal and external strategic partners in development of these opportunities

  • Drive the integration of M&A activity across the Region including leveraging on synergies and creating best practices combining the best of both worlds

 

  1. Internal processes and Alignment

  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders in the wider business to create a line of one and accelerate business growth.

  • Actively bring the voice of the customer into collaboration with product management, marketing, and R&D 

  • Drive cross functional improvement programs to improve customer journey/experience

 

  1. Team Leadership

  • To lead, coach and manage the sales country managers to accelerate growth in each country

  • Actively build individual development and succession plans for the organization to deliver on growth ambition

  • Create an engaging environment that supports our core Industrial Wood Values

  • Drive performance evaluation and personal development of the Sales teams in EMEAI

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in senior sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • 10+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing sales leaders and teams.
  • Experience operating successfully within a complex, matrix organization; previous Sales Director experience is highly valued.
  • Strategic mindset combined with strong commercial acumen and the ability to turn strategy into results.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, supported by a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Agile, collaborative, and adaptable leadership style, with willingness to travel 50%+ as required.

What we Offer

  • The established salary range for this position and location (France) is EUR 112,000-130,000 annual gross.

Compensation varies depending on location. For any locations other than stated in job description, compensation will be shared early in the recruitment process.

The salary range shown refers to base salary only. In addition to this, we offer a broader total reward package which may include bonus or incentive pay, relevant allowances, and a range of competitive benefits. We encourage candidates to consider the full package when evaluating an offer. 

Salary is determined using a structured and objective framework, taking into account the role’s responsibilities, required skills and experience, market benchmarks, and internal equity. This ensures pay decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with our commitment to equal pay and legal compliance. 

In accordance with EU pay transparency requirements, we provide a salary range based on our preferred country of hire. Compensation varies depending on location. The salary range applicable to the location of candidate will be shared early in the recruitment process.
