We Are Looking For

As a Sales Development Specialist (SDS), you will play a critical role responsible for independently managing customer engagement activities and supporting revenue growth within the aerospace market. This position exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing customer outreach, qualifying sales opportunities, and determining readiness for transition to Account Management. The Specialist operates with minimal day-to-day supervision and contributes directly to business development strategy execution.

 

What You’ll Do 

As a Sales Development Specialist, you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Independently manage day-to-day customer interactions and requirements, exercising professional judgment to prioritize activities based on business impact
  • Plan and execute proactive outbound sales and customer re-engagement strategies aligned with sales objectives
  • Evaluate inbound customer requests and leads using CRM tools and internal resources to assess opportunity, viability and urgency
  • Analyze customer needs, buying signals, and engagement history to determine sales readiness
  • Make independent recommendations regarding when customers should be transitioned to an Account Manager
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive customer briefings to support effective and strategic handoffs
  • Maintain accurate sales documentation and pipeline data to inform forecasting and leadership decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Management, Marketing, and internal technical teams to support growth initiatives
  • Stay informed on aerospace market trends, product capabilities, and customer programs to support informed decision-making


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales development, inside sales, or customer-facing professional roles
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and exercise discretion in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales enablement tools
  • Independent judgment and decision-making
  • Strategic prioritization and time management
  • Professional communication and relationship development
  • Analytical assessment of customer readiness and opportunity potential
  • Collaboration and cross-functional influence

 

Special Requirements: 

  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required. 
  • ITAR Requirement 
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements. 

 

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee. See 22 CFR
