The Sales Development Representative is responsible for driving incremental business growth through proactive outbound sales efforts focused on dormant and non-buying accounts within an assigned territory. This role is focused on expanding distribution and generating new business opportunities for Callaway Golf, with primary emphasis on Golf Balls and Gloves.
 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive new business growth through outbound sales calls to assigned inactive and non-buying accounts.
  • Primary focus on securing Golf Ball and Glove distribution across targeted green grass accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and follow-up.
  • Execute a structured call plan to maximize account coverage and sales productivity.
  • Achieve weekly outbound activity expectations, including a minimum of:
  • 150+ outbound sales calls
  • 12+ hours of talk time
  • Support account setup, order execution, and ongoing administrative needs.
  • Partner with Sales Management to execute territory growth strategies and revenue objectives.
  • Maintain accurate account notes, pipeline activity, and sales tracking.
  • Participate in company meetings, training sessions, and sales events as required.
  • Assist with additional sales projects and initiatives as assigned.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Strong sales aptitude with the ability to succeed in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Understanding of retail sales operations and performance metrics preferred.
  • Golf industry knowledge or passion for golf preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1 year selling experience
  • Golf industry knowledge preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

  • Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
  • Frequently required to talk on the phone.
  • Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Travel may be required
