We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative to drive Paymentology’s growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential clients across fintech, retail banking, and digital banking sectors. This role plays a critical part in researching key contacts, executing targeted outreach strategies, and building strong relationships with decision-makers to generate new business opportunities.

What you get to do:- Identify and research key contacts and decision-makers at fintechs, retail banks, and digital banks within assigned territories.
- Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone calls to initiate conversations with potential customers.
- Utilise HubSpot CRM and AI-driven outreach tools to track interactions, manage campaigns, and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Establish and nurture meaningful relationships with decision-makers to support long-term partnerships.
- Use a consultative sales approach to engage with prospects, understanding their needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, ensuring personalised, value-driven interactions.
- Act as a trusted advisor, educating clients on Paymentology’s value proposition and solutions.
- Identify client challenges and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements, driving engagement and fostering partnerships.
- Schedule and coordinate high-value meetings between prospects and Paymentology’s sales team.
- Ensure a smooth transition for prospects by addressing pre-meeting queries and providing relevant information.
- Represent Paymentology at key industry networking events, conferences, and trade shows, such as Money 20/20, Singapore Fintech Festival, and Seamless Africa.
- Engage with prospects and clients in person to strengthen relationships and showcase Paymentology’s expertise.
- Support the sales team by coordinating scheduled meetings and following up with leads generated during events.
- Facilitate post-event debriefs by gathering insights, experiences, and feedback to improve future event strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activities, engagement levels, and client feedback in HubSpot CRM.
- Provide weekly reports on outreach progress, meeting schedules, and conversion rates to sales and marketing teams.
- Share key insights from prospect interactions to refine messaging and outreach strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between outreach efforts, campaign goals, and business objectives.
What it takes to succeed:
- Strong research skills with the ability to identify key contacts and market opportunities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in crafting personalised and impactful outreach messaging
- Proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, AI outreach platforms, and other data sourcing tools
- Consultative selling approach with the ability to establish trust and credibility with prospects
- Comfortable engaging prospects across multiple channels, including phone outreach and in-person interactions at events
- Ability to represent the business at industry events, actively network, and convert conversations into qualified opportunities
- Highly organised and proactive, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders effectively
- Self-motivated with a growth mindset and willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic business environment
Education & Experience:
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential with relevant experience
- Experience within fintech, payment processing, or SaaS environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CRM tools, AI-driven outreach platforms, and email automation software
- 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles, ideally within the fintech, payment processing, or SaaS sectors
- Proven track record of successful lead generation, outreach, and client engagement in a B2B environment
- Experience in event participation, outbound calling, and active sales pipeline management is an advantage
