About us
Share Local Media, or SLM, is a rapidly growing startup reimagining the world of offline marketing for tech and e-commerce companies. We started as e-commerce marketers ourselves, and launched SLM with a goal of turning direct mail into a high performing, scalable channel for a digitally native client set. To do so, we've taken an inputs based-approach to the space, and re-engineered the channel from the ground up to make it easier to test, faster to execute, more measurable, and ultimately, more effective for e-commerce and tech clients of all types.
So what does SLM actually do? We're a full-service direct mail agency, media program operator, and technology platform, serving some of your favorite e-commerce and tech brands (think Instacart, Lyft, Grubhub, etc.). We live and breathe direct response marketing, and strive to delight clients with high performing campaigns built around fast, data-driven client service, and premium, unique branding.

The role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Development Representative to join our fast growing sales team. This role is responsible for evaluating inbound leads and supporting outbound sales work, serving as the first point of contact and driving leads towards sales calls. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a sales role, ideally within the marketing industry, and possess strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review all inbound leads, including any necessary research to determine lead quality and next steps
  • Drive leads towards booking a sales call through various sales tactics, including email, phone, LinkedIn etc
  • Conduct outbound prospecting within target accounts and categories to support enterprise sales activity
  • Act as initial point of contact for all qualified leads, introducing SLM appropriately and answering initial questions. Maintain a high level of understanding of all product lines at SLM and stay up-to-date on trends within the performance marketing that affect our clients' environments and decision-making processes
  • Maintain appropriate activity levels to meet prospecting goals and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Represent the SLM at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to build relationships and promote our services

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles & practices
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and internal reporting
  • Proficiency in CRM software (such as Hubspot) and digital marketing tools

Hybrid Workspace

Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.

Most of the company is hybrid NYC based coming in a few days per week. We also do have some remote roles depending on team!

Typical time on-site: 3 days a week

Our office is located in FiDi near most major subway lines, ferries, the WTC PATH Train, and several happy hour locations that the team tries to rotate through.
