About the role:
We are excited to hire a Sales Development Representative who will serve as a foundational team member of the Marketing Team to operationally support our demand generation efforts. In this role, the candidate will be tasked with outreaching, prospecting, qualifying and tracking our demand generation efforts. The ideal candidate has strong communication and project management skills and is able to tactically support the marketing team’s operations, and proactively seeks out improvements for performance and scalability.
What you'll be doing:
• Connect with prospects supplied by our Marketing team’s efforts on a one-on-one basis e.g through cold calling, Whatsapp/ LinkedIn messages
• Book outbound meetings through cold calls, emails, social outreach, networking, and independent research
• Engage with prospects (including C-suite/Directors) and effectively describe the product
• Conduct sales discovery with prospects to find out their pain points
• Deliver relevant marketing content to prospects
• Build trusting relationships with key stakeholders
• Follow up on existing customers to identify new potential needs
• Generate and manage sales pipeline by updating all activity in CRM
• Collaborate with sales executives to meet the company’s targets
• Improve processes and procedures
• Work with Marketing and Business Development teams to develop an effective lead scoring system
Who we are looking for:
• 1-2 years of Sales/Marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS organization(s)
• Proficiency in Salesforce and/or similar marketing tools and/or automation platforms
• Detail-oriented and meticulous; enjoys researching and communicating with prospects, creating sales opportunities, problem-solving through our product solutions and being challenged
• Ability to prioritise and communicate expectations around timeframe and scope
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across the marketing team
• Works well under pressure, with the ability to identify and communicate issues quickly
