The Role

Note: This role is London-based and requires being in our office or at a client site 3 days per week

Reporting to: Sam Hyde, Senior Management Sales Development

hyperexponential (hx) is transforming the traditional insurance industry with our groundbreaking SaaS platform, hx Renew. Our platform empowers insurers to build complex mathematical models to make smarter, faster pricing decisions—whether that’s calculating the cost to insure a global superstar’s concert tour or protecting entire states from natural disasters.

As we accelerate through 2025, hx is making a strategic leap forward by establishing a high-performing Sales Development Organisation. Building on our consistent year-over-year growth in revenue and team size, we’re expanding our reach into untapped markets and accounts, delivering the power of hx Renew to more insurers worldwide.

Come join hx as a PDI evangelist and SDR, targeted on driving engagement and adding value to actuaries & underwriters in their roles as we look to partner with the insurance market, with the goal of achieving true data driven underwriting, that is underpinned by a world leading pricing decision intelligence platform.

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at hyperexponential, your mission will be twofold:

  1. Drive Market Education and Intelligence: Educate key personas within our target accounts on hx Renew’s capabilities, fostering adoption and engagement.

  2. Cultivate a Thriving Developer and Learning Community: Build relationships with prospects and customers to grow a community of developers, actuaries, and underwriters around hx Renew. You’ll promote and increase traction for our learning, development, and certification courses, helping industry professionals unlock the full potential of our platform.

Aligned to one of our Sales Pods—Strategic, International, or US (if based in New York)—you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how hx engages with its Total Addressable Market (TAM).

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospects and customers to build community: Partner with key stakeholders to foster a developer and learning community around hx Renew. Drive interest and participation in hx’s learning, development, and certification programs, creating opportunities for professionals to upskill and engage with the platform.

  • Drive awareness and engagement in target accounts: Introduce and educate actuaries, underwriters, and other personas on how hx Renew can transform their workflows.

  • Generate qualified meetings: Book high-quality discovery and new business meetings for Account Executives in your aligned Pod.

  • Maximise ROI on marketing efforts: Follow up with attendees of webinars, events, and campaigns to ensure strong conversion into opportunities.

  • Collaborate on marketing initiatives: Work with marketing to promote attendance and engagement at events, webinars, and other learning opportunities.

  • Nurture inbound leads: Manage non-aligned and net-new inbound leads to build initial relationships and pass them along for further qualification.

Team Alignment

  • As part of the SDR Organisation, you’ll work closely with your Pod’s Sales Director, Account Executives, and marketing team to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy.

  • You’ll contribute to feedback loops with marketing, helping improve campaigns and ensuring alignment between demand generation and sales efforts.

  • Peer-to-peer collaboration within the SDR team will be key to developing a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Opportunities will open up to progress into more technical roles, customer success, strategic SDR or other roles within the business, so building cross functional relationships into these areas will be a key part of the role.

Persona

  • No prior SDR experience is required—just ambition, a willingness to learn, and the drive to go the extra mile. We’re looking for people who are passionate about creating meaningful connections and contributing to a developer-first, community-driven approach to sales.

  • You’ll be curious, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where creativity and ownership are celebrated.

What Do We Offer?

  • Competitive salary and commission.

  • £5,000 individual and group training/conference budget.

  • 25 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays (33 total).

  • Company pension scheme via Penfold.

  • Mental health and therapy provision via Spectrum Life.

  • Individual wellbeing allowance via Juno.

  • Private healthcare insurance through AXA.

  • Top-spec equipment (laptop, screens, mechanical keyboards, etc).

Why Join Us?

At hx, you’ll join a team of the smartest and kindest operators in the industry, all aligned to our mantra of working smart and hard (meaning tackling challenging problems—not long hours). We’re on a mission to become the dominant player in our market, and this role is your opportunity to grow with us. You’ll help shape the future of a successful scale-up while learning and having fun along the way—guaranteed.

Please note that background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process to ensure compliance with our governance policies. We handle all background checks sensitively and in full compliance with relevant regulations. All applicant data will be processed in accordance with data protection regulations and our privacy policy.
