Summary:
We are a high energy, fast paced media company looking for individuals who want to grow in our organization. Our sales philosophy is that we believe that your job is to do what's best for each prospect. The Sales Development Representatives (SDR's) are our potential clients' first interaction with the company and need someone to give that potential new customer the best possible experience at all times. As an SDR, your job will be to consistently reach out to hunt for new leads, qualify those potential new customers and book a time to have them speak with a member of our sales team.
What you will do:
- Manage a pipeline of leads generated through various marketing efforts in Salesforce, your goal is to qualify potential advertisers and help uncover their core needs in the digital and traditional marketing space
- Present our baseline online and offline marketing solutions and log activities and opportunities in Salesforce to prepare the assigned Business Development Executive
- This role does a minimum of 100 outbound calls per day, qualified leads are then booked as appointments or referred to sales to continue further discussion on a potential marketing campaign
- This role is just the beginning so learning is important and we will provide you the resources to advance your knowledge; certifications in advanced analytics and ad executions will be required before stepping into sales
What you will bring:
- 1+ yrs of sales or cold calling experience
- Drive - you are hungry to grow beyond this role and willing to put in the work to be successful; we want you to take your skills to the next level! Someone who is extroverted, organized and can manage their time well
- Focus - we are about hitting our goals and you should be too; we want someone with a history of success!
- Competitive - Does whatever it takes attitude, loves to hit their goals, has the natural desire to win and hustles all the time
- 'Can Do' Attitude - this role is our entry level hunters and you will have to overcome client objections; we need someone who can take the "No" and still move forward with a positive outlook
- Great Communication - This role will not only speak with potential customers but will be working within internal teams from sales to management
- You are eager to grow, learn, and continue to sharpen your skills
- Systems Experience - GSuite, Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo
- Bachelor's degree preferred

Must be located in the Los Angeles area with monthly onsite expectations in Irvine, CA.
The hourly wage is $25.00 ($52,000) + incentive compensation (commission). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, MediaNews Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, and 401K plan (all benefits are based on eligibility).
