About Inspira Education

Inspira Education Group is one of the fastest-growing edtech startups in the US. We started with a simple mission to democratize access to high-quality coaching so that every student in the world has an equal opportunity to access the best opportunities.

As the world’s leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, we’re building software and services in one place—disrupting long-entrenched application processes with products and experiences that strive to provide an equal platform for candidates from diverse backgrounds worldwide.

As one of the fastest-growing edtech firms in the world, we are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms and investors in the world, including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures and Jeff Fluhr (Founder of Stubhub).

The Role

This role carries the SDR title, but it's not a traditional sales role - you'll be focused entirely on building out our talent pipeline, working very closely with our founders as they identify, evaluate, and bring on people for key roles across the company. Think of it as applying SDR-style prospecting and outreach skills to talent instead of sales prospects.

You'll get rare, direct exposure to how a startup founder team thinks about hiring - which roles matter most, what makes a strong candidate, and how to build relationships with people before they're ready to make a move. It's an ideal fit for someone early in their career who's high-energy, eager to learn, and wants more responsibility than a typical SDR seat offers.

This role requires in-office attendance 5 days a week (NYC - Gramercy).

 What You'll Do
  • Work directly and closely with the founders to build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for open roles across the company
  • Research and identify prospective candidates using LinkedIn and other sourcing tools
  • Write and send personalized outreach messaging to engage candidates and build relationships over time
  • Track and manage pipeline activity and candidate status in our ATS
  • Help refine our sourcing approach as you learn what resonates with different types of candidates
  • Take on ad hoc projects with the founders as priorities shift
 What We're Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience as an SDR or in a comparable outbound/prospecting role (the prospecting and outreach skills are what transfer here - not sales itself)
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn a new skill set outside the traditional SDR path
  • Comfortable with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up
  • Strong written communication - you can write a compelling, personalized message quickly
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to manage a large, active pipeline without things falling through the cracks
  • Excited to work closely with founders and take on real responsibility early in your career
 Why you'll love Inspira
  • Amazing people with a great vision and values
  • Mission-driven team culture focused on student success
  • Your work directly impacts the lives and careers of students across the globe
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, base plans 100% employer paid
  • Pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, Commuter)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match

The targeted pay for this role is: $85K OTE ($70 base and $15K bonus). Actual salary is dependent upon several factors, including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team and geographic location. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive will be finalized at the offer. The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company.

Skills Required

  • 1-3 years of experience as a sales development representative or in a comparable outbound or prospecting role
  • High energy, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn a new skill set
  • Comfort with high-volume outreach and consistent follow-up
  • Strong written communication and ability to quickly write compelling personalized messages
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a large active pipeline
  • Ability and willingness to work in-office five days per week in Gramercy, NYC
