What You'll Do
- Generate Qualified Leads: Proactively research, identify, and qualify new business opportunities within target industries (Energy, Mining, Agriculture, Defense, etc.) through various channels including cold outreach (email, phone, social selling), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and industry events.
- Initial Prospect Engagement: Craft compelling outreach messages and engage in initial conversations with prospective clients to understand their needs, challenges, and determine if Orbital Sidekick's solutions align with their objectives.
- Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a robust pipeline of interested prospects, meticulously tracking all activities and interactions in our CRM (e.g., HubSpot).
- Meeting Scheduling: Successfully schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for our Account Executive team, ensuring a seamless handoff and maximizing their success.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to contribute to the refinement of our lead generation strategies and sales playbook.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to optimize outreach campaigns, develop new messaging, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
- Achieve Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generation.
What You'll Bring
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales development, business development, or lead generation role, preferably within a B2B SaaS, technology, or data-focused environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Proven ability to research, identify, and engage with decision-makers at various levels within organizations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a high volume of outreach activities.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms.
- A proactive and persistent approach to prospecting, with a genuine curiosity to learn about customer challenges.
- High degree of self-motivation, resilience, and a strong desire to achieve and exceed targets.
- Familiarity with or a strong interest in space technology, remote sensing, geospatial data, or hyperspectral imaging is a significant plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
