OverviewAbout the RoleTNS is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join and support our North American Payments Sales Team. This role is responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers while generating new business opportunities that contribute directly to regional pipeline and revenue growth.
The SDR serves as a critical member of the Region 1 (North America) sales organization, helping expand market presence, develop new customer relationships, and generate qualified pipeline that supports regional growth objectives. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to prospecting, strong business acumen, effective communication skills, and the ability to engage decision-makers across the payments ecosystem.

Pipeline Generation & Prospecting
- Generate net-new business opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting activities.
- Identify, research, and engage target accounts across assigned territories and market segments.
- Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns utilizing phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, referrals, and sales intelligence tools.
- Qualify prospective customers by identifying business needs, decision-making authority, timelines, budgets, and strategic fit.
- Schedule discovery meetings and introductory conversations for Regional Sales Directors and Business Development leaders.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities aligned to regional growth objectives.
- Achieve activity and opportunity generation goals that contribute directly to sales pipeline development.
Account Research & Market Development
- Develop a strong understanding of TNS payment solutions, customer use cases, industry trends, and competitive positioning.
- Research target accounts, key stakeholders, and market opportunities to support account penetration strategies.
- Identify emerging opportunities within target verticals and provide market intelligence to the sales team.
- Support account-based selling initiatives through targeted prospecting and territory development activities.
Product Knowledge & Professional Development
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of TNS payment solutions, value propositions, target markets, customer challenges, and competitive differentiators.
- Take ownership of acquiring and maintaining the product, solution, and industry knowledge necessary to effectively perform the responsibilities of the role.
- Participate in product, sales, and industry training programs and apply knowledge to customer conversations and prospecting activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively articulate the value of TNS solutions and appropriately position offerings with prospective clients.
- Continuously build expertise in the payments ecosystem, emerging industry trends, and TNS offerings to strengthen prospect engagement and opportunity creation.
Sales Process & CRM Excellence
- Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activities, customer interactions, and opportunity progression within Salesforce.
- Track outreach effectiveness, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution metrics.
- Ensure high-quality CRM data, account information, and activity reporting.
- Support regional pipeline reviews, forecasting processes, and sales planning activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Regional Sales Directors, Business Development leaders, Marketing, Product Management, and Solutions teams to drive pipeline growth.
- Follow up on inbound leads, marketing campaigns, trade shows, webinars, and referral opportunities.
- Share customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market insights to support go-to-market execution and sales strategy.
- Proven success in prospecting, business development, sales, lead generation, or related customer-facing roles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to confidently engage business leaders and decision-makers.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, create opportunities, and drive business conversations.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability.
- Commitment to continuous learning and developing expertise in payments, technology, and TNS solutions.
- Experience using Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar sales technologies preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and execution.
- 3+ years of experience in payments, fintech, telecommunications, technology, or financial services.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
For this role, we anticipate paying $65,000 - $70,000 annually, plus eligibility for a performance-based incentive plan tied to qualified pipeline generation, opportunity creation, and achievement of business development objectives.
