Business development specialist, Payroll and Cloud Services, North America
Role
The Business Development representative (BDR) is responsible for producing and nurturing leads as well as advancing the sales process through prospecting exploration. The individual will conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through a host of different channels including telemarketing, digital and social selling, and other outreach vehicles. They will proactively follow-up on all marketing originated leads from multi-touch campaigns but also originate their own leads based on set target lists.
This role would work in conjunction/collaboration with the North American Payroll and Cloud Services team and supporting regional field marketing team. The role will require constant engagement and interlinks with both parties as part of the lead and pipeline generation process.
Responsibilities
Direct outreach and follow-up on marketing originated/derived leads generated through external channels namely, telemarketing, digital and social marketing/selling and email marketing efforts
Carry out exploratory research and identify potential target accounts and decision makers within them and against set target lists
Collaborate with sales and presales teams to hone best sales approaches and angles
Create and deliver marketing qualified opportunities that can be handed off to sales and can be moved forward based on established/predefined criteria
Support marketing efforts at trade shows, exhibits, and other events where there is an opportunity to interact/meet prospects
Leverage market insights and intent data to target the right prospect organizations at the right time
Influence direct to prospect campaigns and messaging based on interactions with prospects
Increase Strada´s profile and awareness with prospects through key B2B social channels like LinkedIn and X
Requirements
University or college degree
Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in a business development role
Preferred experience in HR Tech/Saas
Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
Strong communication skills (the gift of the gab)
Strong problem identification and objections handling skills
Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent listening skills.
Strong written communication skills.
Self- motivated, with high energy and an enthusiasm
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
High level of integrity and work ethic
Digitally savvy and have experience with both Sales Navigator and other outreach tools
Familiarity with CRM systems like SFDC

Salary Pay Range
Minimum - Maximum:
$46,620.00 - $86,580.00Pay Transparency Statement: Strada considers a variety of factors in determining whether to extend an offer of employment and in setting the appropriate compensation level, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and geography. Strada makes these decisions on an individualized, non-discriminatory basis. Bonus and/or incentive eligibility are determined by role and level.
