Job Description:

As part of the Sales team, The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for the telephone and e-mail based follow-up of responses generated through various marketing, lead generation, and business development programs. The goal is to identify qualified prospects that are interested in buying or learning more about Datasite solutions - in particular, Datasite's Virtual Data Room (VDR) product. These opportunities are then passed to our Sales function for further development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily contact goals along with monthly Qualified Sales Opportunities and meeting goals;
  • Collaborate effectively with ‘internal end clients’ - field sales representatives;
  • Deliver key promotional messages to a sophisticated target audience, primarily through telephone contact in addition to emails;
  • Manage large pipelines of prospective leads and report on pipeline progress in review meetings with management;
  • Maintain accurate records of all KPI activity in CRM system (Salesforce) and report KPI information, sales leads and customer profiles correctly and accurately in a timely manner;
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Product development to develop a better understanding of our target markets’ needs, as well as key competitor strengths and weaknesses;
  • Develop a high level of market, industry and role knowledge to enable peer-to-peer conversations and understand customer needs and requirements;
  • Build rapport and relationships with internal and external customers through prompt, courteous, efficient and professional service;

  • Professional and credible communication style - key focus on telephone communications;
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and previous CRM experience (Salesforce) highly desirable;
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Additional language skills highly regarded;
  • High levels of attention to detail;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Able to prioritize and manage workload;

Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree required (Sales, Marketing or Business focus preferred)
  • A strong, natural interest in finance would be an advantage
  • 1 - 2+ years sales experience

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience in lead generating/appointment-making, with a solution based approach helpful;
  • Client service or telephone sales experience with solution selling methodology - technology solution sales experience will be highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience of meeting and exceeding targets;
  • Previous experience in a technology SaaS company would be a great advantage. Ideal background in the financial services/legal sectors.
