About the Role

So we’re looking for a Sales Development Representative for the APAC region who can help qualify and nurture inbound leads, identify outbound opportunities, and get them ready for the sales team to close. On the inbound side, you’ll have a steady stream of leads, detailed information on how they came to us, and insight on how to help them advance. You’ll nurture, qualify, and assign leads, interact with the sales team while keeping our CRM nice and clean. 

On the outbound side, you’ll use marketing strategies, including social media prospecting and outbound calling, to help prospect, identify, and reach out to potential accounts so our sales teams can close. Our ideal applicant has a bachelor’s degree in a business or marketing-related field, but we will consider sufficient sales experience, drive, and know-how too. We will obviously provide on-the-job training in our sales and marketing strategies and products.

So overall, you will help drive the global transformation of the industry, introducing them to a radically faster way to manage their rates and book freight and any product that meets their needs.

This position is remote, with some travel expected for tradeshows, in-person team events.

Responsibilities

  • You will identify prospective customers and engage them through social media outreach, sales tools, email campaigns, and phone calls across the APAC region.
  • Once qualified, you will coordinate with the sales team to transition opportunities effectively, helping drive revenue growth and customer acquisition.
  • You will also leverage our strong industry presence and extensive digital freight technology resources to qualify inbound leads and route them appropriately within the sales organization. Where necessary, you will nurture leads to ensure they are sales-ready before handoff.
  • Success in this role requires timely engagement with both inbound and outbound leads to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. A strong understanding of customer needs and our product offerings will be critical in demonstrating how our solutions support global freight operations and improve operational efficiency.
  • You will maintain accurate and organized records within our CRM platform, ensuring leads are properly qualified, assigned, and tracked based on geography, product focus, and customer profile.
  • This role requires the ability to effectively present and demonstrate our products, identify customer pain points, and facilitate a seamless introduction to the appropriate sales executive.
  • You will be responsible for driving new customer acquisition for our eBooking and SaaS solutions, with performance measured against key sales and onboarding metrics. In addition, you will help ensure customer accounts are accurately configured within internal systems to support a successful onboarding experience.
  • You will take ownership of your pipeline from initial lead engagement through successful handoff to Sales. Your primary objective will be to engage prospects, qualify opportunities, and schedule high-quality meetings that contribute to successful sales outcomes.
Requirements

Basic requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in neutral English 
  • Business-level proficiency in Mandarin is a great plus. Other languages, such as Thai, Korean and Hindi will also be considered.
  • Ability to adapt communication styles for different regional markets and across diverse cultural contexts.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven experience in SDR, prospecting, and sales in the APAC region.
  • Strong cold call capabilities. Like, super strong. You should thrive on cold outreach and prospecting activities.
  • Computer proficiency and familiarity with automatization tools, AI applications and social media. #SDRLife
  • Strong customer service orientation and time management skills.
  • Experience with SaaS and CRM software (HubSpot and Zoho preferred) and sales engagement tools (e.g. Mixmax, Cognism)
  • Experience in logistics or freight is a plus, it is not required. We prefer candidates with backgrounds in international BPOs, call centers, or inside sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
