About The Role & Team

Amplitude’s Sales Development team focuses on helping individuals effectively navigate their journey with our product, identifying and developing new business pipeline opportunities, and serving as a training ground for our company’s future leaders.

As part of our Sales leadership, reporting directly to the Head of Global Sales Development, you’ll collaborate with marketing, sales operations, and enablement to enhance our inbound and outbound prospecting strategies. The ideal candidate is a resourceful, disciplined leader with a proven ability to make data-driven decisions and deliver consistent results. They bring integrity, empathy, and humility to their leadership style.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale a world-class team focused on driving growth in Amplitude’s fast-growing Enterprise segment in the Americas.

As Sales Development Manager, You Will:

  • Lead Talent Development: Hire, train, mentor, coach, and promote the next generation of Amplitude leaders.
  • Drive Prospecting Programs: Oversee a multi-channel inbound and outbound prospecting program, including messaging, tactics, systems, measurement, experimentation, and optimization.
  • Be Results-Oriented: Develop and execute creative strategies to achieve new business pipeline targets directly impacting revenue growth.
  • Engage with Empathy: Ensure future customers are approached with respect and understanding throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Align with marketing, sales operations, and sales leadership to meet revenue and pipeline goals, diagnose opportunities and challenges, and measure progress accurately.
  • Cultivate a Winning Culture: Foster a team-first environment where talent is recognized and growth investments are prioritized.

You’ll Be a Great Addition to the Team If You Have:

  • Experience in innovative marketing, sales development, and sales within a high-growth Enterprise B2B SaaS company.
  • A strong network for sourcing and recruiting top talent. Always be hiring!
  • Proven success managing both inbound and outbound sales development teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with peers and stakeholders.
  • A passion for and exposure to:
    • Product management or building digital products.
    • Using behavioral analytics to better understand customers.
    • Iterative processes such as experimentation, testing, and always-on marketing.
  • A track record of empowering and uplifting those around you.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience as an SDR Manager or 3-5+ years in sales, sales operations, or enablement.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and a strong ability to leverage data for decision-making.

Based on legislation in New York City, the following details are for individuals who will work for Amplitude in New York City. New York City salary range: $148,000 - $222,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)
