Job Description

Wolt is embarking on a very exciting journey: to build one of the most important Media ecosystems in the 27 countries we operate, so brands can leverage consumer insights, connect with shoppers via advertising in-app and off-app and deliver unforgettable brand experiences to our millions of shoppers.

We are now seeking a Sales Development Manager to drive our partnership efforts for our Merchants' ads, W+ subscription and promotions business through direct sales and strategic merchant partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience in ad sales, a strong track record of delivering results, and the ability to convert restaurant and merchant partners into advertising clients.
Our Wolt Ads Product team is responsible for building our Ads business across 27 countries. Together with our local sales teams, the Ads and Promo is responsible for ensuring the delivery of Ad & Promos sales targets in the country they operate.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy to drive revenue growth for our restaurant and retail merchant ads business.
  • Develop and implement sales processes and procedures to improve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and manage relationships with key industry players, including local restaurants, retailers and brands 
  • Negotiate and close advertising investment deals with a focus on revenue growth, product adoption, and customer engagement. You will be directly accountable for our Ads and promotions targets
  • Motivate a high-performing local account management team to exceed ads and promotions revenue targets and customer acquisition and retention goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Central Ads team, marketing, and the local commercial team, to ensure sales objectives are met.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on sales ROI and key trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. 
  • 3+ years of experience in sales management in relevant industries (advertising sales, restaurants, retail)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present to senior executives and clients.
  • Fluency in Icelandic, strong English skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on win-win solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
