OverviewThe Sales Development Associate is an essential member of the Inside Sales team, responsible for generating early-stage pipeline through proactive outbound outreach and collaboration with other Business Development resources and service-line teams. This role emphasizes professional growth and provides a structured pathway into more senior Business Development roles or Account Management roles.
Key ResponsibilitiesOutbound Prospecting & Outreach
- Conduct outbound outreach via phone, email, social channels, and intent-based tools.
- Conduct effective business and technical discovery sessions to articulate a clear, tailored value proposition.
- Adhere to Inside Sales Rules of Engagement (ROE) and CRM pre-outreach requirements.
Pipeline Generation
- Schedule introductory meetings for Business Development Directors, Business Development Managers, Account Managers/Executives, and Business Development Senior Associates.
- Maintain high outreach activity levels leveraging CRM and sales engagement platforms.
- Support go-to-market campaigns, webinars, and events with timely follow-up (outbound only).
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner closely with Inside Sales Specialists, Business Development, Practice resources, and Marketing teams.
- Provide clear documentation and notes in CRM to ensure seamless handoff.
- Participate in weekly team huddles, call reviews, and skill-development sessions.
Operations & Reporting
- Update CRM data accurately and consistently.
- Track key metrics (activities, conversions, meetings set, pipeline influenced).
- Suggest process improvements to enhance conversion and efficiency.
- Leverage firm-approved sales tools (e.g., CRM, AI toolsets, relationship mapping, meeting preparation, and analytics) to inform pursuit strategy.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfort with high-volume outreach and continuous learning.
- Curiosity and interest in professional services, accounting, or consulting industries.
