Position Purpose:

We're looking for only the best people in sales to join our team here at Global Custom Commerce, a Home Depot Company.
We need sales people who ensure they're experts in all the products they sell, who are passionate about exceeding their sales goals by providing amazing experiences for all their clients to build their repeat and referral business, and who sell by first building strong relationships and understanding their clients' needs, then lending their product and design expertise to help customers complete their projects and achieve their dreams.
Our Sales Design Consultants (DCs) work in an inbound, phone-based, consultative sales environment selling complex configurable window covering products to all types of customers looking to buy blinds, shades, and shutters as an investment in their homes. Window covering, or general design experience is a plus, but not required. Being a high-end, customer-focused, consultative sales individual with experience following up with numerous prospects and providing the best customer experiences is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 10% Utilize product walls and sample books to improve product knowledge each day. Excellent product knowledge allows our customers more options and solutions resulting in higher sales, repeat business and referrals
  • 80% Respond to customer needs, answer questions, provide consultative advice and guide customer to the best product; Utilize Salesforce and technology systems to maintain detailed notes and communicate with customers via phone or email throughout sales process; Maintain a customer pipeline, send samples, manage carts and email quotes; Maintain a high closing ratio by utilizing consultative selling techniques and apply coaching and development behaviors to close customer business
  • 10% Participate in daily, weekly and monthly development sessions. Participate in weekly and monthly team all-hands and celebratory meetings

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience using SalesForce CRM
  • Window coverings industry experience and product knowledge
  • Proven success exceeding million dollar quotas in previous sales roles
  • Interior design or other design-focused experience in any industry

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
