Senior Specialist, Data Analytics – Vertiv Asia
The Senior Analyst, Data Analytics supports Vertiv Asia’s business growth by leading the preparation, consolidation, and distribution of business analytics and performance tracking reports. The role plays a key part in driving profitable growth through data-driven insights and actionable reporting.
Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting business results, preparing detailed reports, and supporting strategic planning, performance management, and decision-making processes. The position also collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful analytics that guide business direction and operational excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accuracy, timeliness and completeness of sales and orders data reporting and analytics, incentive calculation/administration for participants including eligibility management, earnings calculation and incentive reporting.
- Coordinate with various parties (sales director, functional leaders, regional leaders and HR) in the calculation details/parameters of the participants (e.g. sales target, method of commission calculation, target variable pays)
- Provide and coordinate with stakeholders including salespersons, sales director, functional leader, HR, etc.) the sales, orders, backlog and distributor reports/performance monthly based on the set targets
- Participate and provide support in the SIOP monthly calls happening every end of the month with the sales directors and salespeople by analyzing pipeline, orders and win rate trends of projects and provide inputs to Sales Leaders during the discussion
- Coordinate with various parties (sales director, functional leaders, regional leaders and HR) in the calculation details/parameters of the participants (e.g. sales target, method of commission calculation, target variable pays)
- Perform quality control procedures/sanity checks and validation process of source reports, generated reports and incentive administration calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Initiate and take part on the team’s data management initiative and reports and analysis activities
- Take over and managed current process improvement initiatives of the team through the use of technology (e.g. automation through VB Application, Power BI, etc.)
- Support participants and act as account manager based on assigned market unit on commission related matters
- Provide back-up for business continuity for the other team members. Others that may be delegated that are in line with the team's objectives
- Work with cross-functional organizations within to drive alignment and collaboration through the execution of data-informed business strategies and performance
- Challenge the organization by working on plans to address weaknesses and help drive processes to exceed goals consistently.
- Identify & implement new processes and improvement opportunities to maximize Sales / Business Operations and Sales and Operations Teams productivity.
- Be the liaison between sales / operations and finance and possibly other functions like IT
- Work with the wider finance and IT team to deliver improvements in management information reporting.
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly & quarterly report.
- Mentor and train junior members of the team.
Job Qualifications:
- 5-8 years' Experience in data management and processing, incentive program or related process (e.g. Finance/HR/Sales operations)
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting/Finance/Business Management or equivalent work experience Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience in reporting, consolidation, processing, and merging of reports / data with the ability to analyze data - Experience working on a regional level in a shared service environment
- High level organization and planning skills so that workflow and deadlines are managed efficiently and accurately
- Excellent communication skills (English), both verbal and written with ability to work with all levels within the organization - Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Self-motivated with a strong positive attitude and good work ethic
- A collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork
- Excellent account management and customer focus skills
