Join our Commercial team as a Sales Coordinator in Tembisa, where you’ll play a key role in supporting field marketers and independent contractors, coordinating regional sales efforts, and ensuring sales activities are well resourced, accurately tracked, and effectively executed.
The key purpose of this role is to coordinate and support sales and marketing activities within the assigned area, enabling field marketers and related parties to deliver customer growth and revenue targets while ensuring compliance with processes, quality standards, and system requirements.
What you’ll do:- Support the Commercial and Field Operations teams in achieving regional revenue and customer growth targets
- Coordinate the activities of Regional Field Marketers within the assigned LSM area
- Assist with executing assigned sales plans and driving take-up in targeted areas
- Provide ongoing mentoring, guidance, and support to field marketers and related parties
- Track, monitor, and report on field marketers’ performance using daily, weekly, and monthly KPAs
- Identify and proactively address non-adherence to Independent Contractor agreements, escalating where required
- Co-develop tactical sales plans to support achievement of regional targets
- Organise and coordinate lead generation initiatives with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of captured data, orders, and invoices
- Accurately capture customer and sales information on internal systems
- Oversee and manage the use of company resources, including sales containers, payment devices, laptops, marketing tools, and materials
- Ensure safety and security measures are applied to protect communities, field marketers, and company resources
- Maintain strong product knowledge across Herotel’s product offerings
- Cultivate effective cross-functional collaboration with Hub teams and other departments
- Attend to and escalate customer queries through established Herotel processes and channels
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct at all times
- Represent the company positively in all interactions with customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Grade 12 qualification with prior supervisory or related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service–oriented mindset
- Excellent planning, organising, and coordination abilities
- Leadership and people management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Good negotiation and deal-closing skills
- Fluency in English and at least one additional area-specific language
