Role to support Event Sales Operations, EMEA Event Sales Team
Role Purpose
The Sales Coordinator for Gartner Conferences provides a high level of support to the Gartner Conferences business, sales associates, Gartner clients, conference exhibitors, and attendees. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the Conferences team and with external stakeholders.
Major Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inquiry Management: Perform timely triage of inquiries submitted to assigned Conferences' support mailboxes. Act as a liaison between Conferences, internal stakeholders, and external clients to support, escalate, or resolve inquiries.
- Communication and Documentation: Leverage and maintain response templates, process documents, and exception criteria to effectively respond to inquiries that do not require escalation. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Administrative Support: Provide data entry, administrative tasks, configuration, contract reviews, contract processing, and process support for Gartner Conferences.
- Quality Assurance and Documentation: Participate in Conferences' technology quality assurance testing, generate process documentation/training guides, and support ad-hoc project requests and assignments.
- Data Management: Perform data quality audits, investigations, and remediations. Gather necessary data to support ad-hoc analytics requests.
- Client Interaction: Interact with conference attendees and Gartner associates to troubleshoot challenges remotely and onsite at conferences globally. Expected to travel to our EMEA based conferences with opportunity to travel and support other regions.

- Identify and produce vehicle to communicate sales metrics and new processes to the team
- Meet deadlines with output that has been thoughtfully put together with attention to detail
- Works with minimal supervision and demonstrates good decision-making skills, prioritizing and providing proactive and professional support to management
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and projects
- Maintain confidentiality especially when working with sensitive information (ie quotas, performance, etc)

Works closely with Sales Leadership Team and other lines of business including but not limited to Sponsor Operations, Event Production, Legal, OMB, Marketing
Education/ Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred
Professional Experience
1-3+ years business experience, preferably in Sales Support / Coordinator position
Technical/ Professional Skills & Competencies
- Intermediate Excel & PowerPoint skills.
- Experience and aptitude to work in databases.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Gartner’s internal systems and reporting.
