Are you an experienced property sales professional who loves building relationships and guiding customers through important decisions?

We’re looking for a Sales Consultant to join us at Avonpark Retirement Village in Winsley, near Bath. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although some flexibility will be needed to support events, open days and occasional weekend activity.

This is a varied, hands-on sales role where you’ll take ownership of the customer journey, from the very first enquiry and village viewing through to negotiation, completion and welcoming a new resident into the community.

About the role

As our Sales Consultant, you’ll be responsible for driving sales and rental activity at Avonpark and delivering a brilliant experience for prospective residents and their families.

Retirement living is a considered purchase, so this isn’t about pushing for a quick sale. You’ll take the time to understand what matters to each customer, build genuine relationships and help them make the right decision for their circumstances.

You’ll manage your pipeline, follow up enquiries, conduct viewings, negotiate sales and rentals and work closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing and the village team to make sure each customer has a smooth journey.

You’ll also play an active role within the local community, building relationships and helping more people discover what life at Avonpark has to offer.

What you’ll be doing
  • Taking ownership of sales and rental activity for the village and working towards agreed sales targets
  • Managing enquiries from initial contact through to viewing, negotiation and completion
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with prospective residents and their families
  • Conducting engaging village and property viewings, bringing the Avonpark lifestyle and community to life
  • Proactively following up leads and nurturing customers through what can be a longer sales journey
  • Maintaining accurate customer and property information within our CRM system
  • Preparing and contributing to high-quality property particulars for new and pre-owned properties
  • Negotiating sales and rentals while ensuring customers clearly understand pricing, service charges and relevant fees
  • Supporting local marketing activity, events and open days
  • Building relationships with local organisations, groups and the wider community to raise awareness of Avonpark
  • Working closely with Sales, Marketing and village colleagues to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to resident
  • Supporting new residents through completion, key handover and move-in
  • Providing support and cover across other villages when required
About you

You’ll already have solid sales experience, ideally gained within estate agency, residential property, lettings or the senior living sector, and you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of a pipeline and working towards clear targets.

Just as importantly, you’ll understand that great sales results come from great relationships.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has demonstrable sales experience within the property, estate agency or senior living sector
  • Has a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
  • Is confident managing a sales pipeline and working with CRM systems
  • Has experience working with longer, more considered sales cycles
  • Is a confident negotiator with good commercial awareness
  • Communicates naturally and professionally with customers and their families
  • Is empathetic, patient and an excellent listener
  • Is proactive and comfortable working independently
  • Is organised and able to manage multiple customers and priorities at once
  • Enjoys collaborating with colleagues across different teams
  • Is comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Can be flexible around occasional weekend events and open days

Experience within lettings would also be an advantage.
