About You

We are looking for a Sales Consultant - New Equipment to be based in Mascot, NSW.

You will be responsible for selling the Electra range of New Equipment products and developing good relationships with our customers in a competitive environment.

  • Permanent role.

  • Reports to the Operations Manager.

As a Sales Consultant, your key responsibilities are 

  • Generate New Equipment sales leads from construction lead indicators, industry reports, tenders, personal sales research, and customer networks. 

  • Determine client requirements and design parameters quickly to configure Electra products/solutions and be able to assist in the development of future construction projects to maximize Electra's opportunity to secure new business. 

  • Develop and implement a strategy to maximize Electra's opportunity to accept proposals. 

  • Conduct negotiations with clients, gaining progressive support from local management and Support Departments depending on the project size. 

  • Interact with all level of stakeholders to develop sales strategies and value propositions while managing the sales through Electra's sales processes.

  • Maintain a sound knowledge of Electra's and its competitor’s product range within the building and construction industry,

  • Understand relevant codes and contract practices to competently deal with building owners, agents, architects, builders, consultants, developers and statutory authorities.

What you will need to be successful

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or its equivalent.

  • Experience working within a large, matrixed company environment and proven sales track record for developing and selling large deals. 

  • Have 5+ years of Sales and Key Account management experience within the Lift industry will be preferred.

  • Good knowledge of using technology, including mobile applications and computer-based reporting systems (Word, Excel, Email, Internet, database management) to analyze data and trends.

  • Strong verbal and communication skills.

  • Have exceptional time management skills and possess strong organization abilities.

  • Excellent attention to detail and is results-driven.
