The Sales  and Commercial Engineer is an expert of rotating equipment maintenance in Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical applications, life cycle, and market on selected countries. Strong technical background of reciprocating, centrifugal compressors, pumps, gas and steam turbines applications, and other rotating equipment. Possesses strong market view and customer knowledge. Has strong project management and commercial operation skills to be able to support business development, fulfillment, and execution. 
He/she will lead commercial activities transactional and on special project with high technical content,   will support sales growth driving order generation and help developing presence and strategy with new customers/territories

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage commercial and sales activities for assigned customers and/or territories, with emphasis on high-technical-content projects such as upgrades, conversions, modifications, upgrades, and revamps
  • Coordinate and develop proposals, quotations, and technical solution packages in collaboration with global commercial and technical teams
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through technical consultations, commercial discussions, and ongoing project support
  • Support and/or lead contract negotiations, commercial risk assessments, and agreement finalization
  • Serve as the primary customer entry point for technical support, engineered solutions, and project-related coordination
  • Support project execution when required, ensuring alignment between customer expectations and internal delivery teams
  • Assist in gathering operational data for equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
  • Provide regular reporting on order intake, pipeline development, and sales forecasts
  • Participate in internal training and development programs to maintain technical and commercial proficiencY
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedule to meet customer needs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BS degree in ME or technical disciplines (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 10 yrs experience of maintenance services in oil and gas/chemical/petrochemical Maintenance, Technical advisory, Sales, Commercial, roles on rotating equipment
  • Strong technical background of rotating equipment and auxiliaries, with special focus on Operations and Maintenance
  • English speaking and good command of French
  • Strong communication, self starting/entrepreneurial attitude
  • Has established relationship in country with local customers
  • Knows the country market well
  • Proficient in MS office, knowledgeable on Sales Force.com
  • Authorized to work in Italy

This will include their medium voltage drives and AC motor selection for western Canada.
