Purpose
The Sales Cloud Product Owner will focus on maximizing the value of the Sales Cloud module within our CRM environment. This role is responsible for enabling efficient sales processes, including lead management, opportunity tracking, forecasting, product configuration, and conversion to assets on accounts. The specialist will ensure accurate pipeline reporting, implement and maintain the Enterprise Territory Management model, and optimize account and lead assignment based on territories while preserving data privacy. The position requires close collaboration with sales, marketing, and IT teams to streamline workflows, improve sales performance, and deliver actionable insights for revenue growth.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Accountabilities:
This role is accountable for the successful design, implementation, optimization, and support of the Salesforce Sales Cloud platform to meet our organization's sales objectives. Specific accountabilities include:
- Platform Leadership: Serving as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Salesforce Sales Cloud, providing strategic consultation and guidance on platform capabilities and best practices.
- Project Management & Delivery: Leading and managing Salesforce projects from deployment, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and platform governance standards.
- Solution Design: Translating complex business requirements into effective, scalable Salesforce solutions that leverage platform functionality optimally.
- Process Efficiency: Proactively identifying process inefficiencies and implementing streamlined, well-documented solutions within Salesforce to drive sales productivity.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: Ensuring data quality and integrity across the Sales Cloud environment and delivering robust reporting and dashboards to provide actionable insights to management.
- User Enablement: Providing expert-level support, advanced troubleshooting, and comprehensive documentation to ensure high user adoption and system efficacy.
Activities:
The specific responsibilities required to fulfill the above accountabilities include:
- Conduct detailed business analysis and requirement gathering sessions with sales leadership, operations, and end-users.
- Design, configure, and optimize core Sales Cloud functionalities, including:
- Lead Management (capture, routing, qualification, conversion)
- Opportunity Management (pipeline stages, forecasting, deal closure)
- Account & Contact Management (hierarchies, relationship management, data integrity)
- Products & Assets (price books, products, assets)
- Enterprise Territory Management (complex territory structures and assignment rules)
- Develop and maintain robust reporting and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze sales data.
- Perform hands-on technical configuration and customization using declarative tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules, Permission Sets, Custom Objects, Fields, Approval Processes).
- Provide Tier 2/3 user support and advanced troubleshooting for reported issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with end-users.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, system configurations, and training materials.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
- Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM 201) required. Salesforce Certified Sales Cloud Consultant or Platform App Builder strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce, with at least 4+ years focused on Sales Cloud.
Other Attributes
- Deep, functional knowledge of core Sales Cloud modules including Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Products, Assets, Forecasting, and Enterprise Territory Management.
- Proven experience leading projects and working in a techno-functional capacity (bridging the gap between business needs and technical execution).
- Strong requirement gathering, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with an ability to provide creative and efficient solutions.
- Strong documentation and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Experience
- Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) solutions.
- Experience with Apex, Visualforce, or Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Experience implementing Enterprise Territory Management.
Other Attributes
- Experience with integration tools and data migration techniques (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench, third-party integration platforms).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing workflows.
- Experience with CRM Analytics and advanced dashboard design for Sales performance
