1. Provides Customer service and Sales assistance.

2. Welcomes customers as they enter the shop, offering assistance in a friendly and positive manner.

3. Establishes customer relationships, calling them by name, in order to develop and maintain customer profiles.

4. Makes every effort to serve the customer’s needs by listening to their requests, suggesting merchandise and follow-through with closing the sale.

5. Gift-wraps items upon request in a timely manner.

6. Provides Customer Service and Gift Shop coverage in the absence of other paid staff or volunteers.

7. Assist with merchandising for the gift shop

8. Maintains merchandise levels within various classifications.  Works with staff to assure merchandise is presented in best possible manner through attractive visual merchandising. 

9. Constantly rotates merchandise to assure freshness and cleanliness of displays.

10. Maintains working knowledge of rotating inventory and collectibles. Maintain neat and pleasant atmosphere of gift shop.

11. Maintain neat and pleasant atmosphere of gift shop. Maintain clean counter space and clean and clutter free wall case.

12. Fixtures are dust-free and clutter-free. Walkways are clear and vacuumed. Ensure overall cleanliness.

13. Assists with buying products within limited classifications of gift shop.

14. Maintains candy, balloons and sundry inventory levels through actual ordering and informing manager of needs.

15. Works with customers on special orders and requests, maintains special order files and sales.

16. Places orders for flowers and specialized merchandise as scheduled.

17. Assists with Gift Shop Operations.

18. Ensures gift shop is open and ready for business on time. Responsible for timely closing of the gift shop, ensures both gift shop and volunteer services office are locked and secure.

19. Maintain levels of shop supplies such as (credit card and register supplies, PINC slips, stamps, change box, etc.)
