The Role: Morningstar`s Business Development Team seeks a highly motivated person to perform a Junior Sales role (Sales Associate) focused on growing revenue and building relationships with both existing clients and new prospects. The successful candidates will deepen our footprint within key market segments by focusing on growing adoption of Morningstar's extensive solution suite including Morningstar Direct, Data, Enterprise Components and Reporting Solutions to address the markets most pressing workflow challenges. This role covers opportunities in the UK with the position based in our London office.
Responsibilities• Exceed sales targets.• Uncover client business needs and work with internal teams to determine optimal client solutions.• Establish and build relationships with key stakeholders.• Identify new business groups and opportunities within accounts.• Employ winning strategies to maintain and grow adoption of Morningstar Solutions.• Master product demonstrations and knowledge of product capabilities and benefits.• Forecast and proactively uncover opportunities within key business groups.• Negotiate and close new business.• Develop growth plans for existing accounts.• Document daily activities in our CRM system, Salesforce.
Requirements • Candidates should have 2+ years of account management and/or in person client service experience in the finance and investment industry.• Proven track record of exceeding prior targets.• Excellent networking skills• Hands-on, organized individual who can build long-term client relationships.• Strong leadership, long-range planning, and time-management skills are essential.• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and the ability to deliver professional and persuasive presentations.• A naturally charismatic person who can bring others along easily with them.• Ability to understand complex investment requirements.• A passion for Morningstar and the investment industry in general is essential.• Degree of equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline preferred.
