ChampionX is seeking a Sales Associate III located in Midland/Odessa. This role plays a fundamental part in ensuring business growth across all emission technologies product lines. The main responsibility of the Sales Associate III is to increase sales and meet sales goals by being the liaison between our customer, operations, manufacturing, and external representatives to optimize business, while building relationships and collaborating within the Emissions Technologies team.

What You Will Do: 

  • Support the Business Development Team in the Permian Region. 

  • Drive sales growth across emissions product lines to assigned accounts and meet sales goals.  

  • Liaison between our customer and Emissions Team while building relationships and collaborating with support and services teams through email, phone communication and quoting to receive purchase orders. 

  • Assist the Business Development Team with start-ups of new applications in both existing customers and in new accounts. 

  • Identify and resolve customer pain points, escalating as required. 

  • Articulate value story, technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users 

  • Identify and establish business relationships and needs for each targeted customer. 

  • Listen, understand, and convey customer requirements. 

  • Identify and communicate customer requirements for new products. 

  • The primary area of responsibility will be Permian. 

  • Availability for inter-regional travel 60-80%. 

  • Drive sales through direct customer relationships, distributors, and through other ChampionX entities. 

  • Identify and develop strategic account plans leveraging another channel partner (internal and external) resources. 

  • Identify and leverage resources to perform technical / product training for customers at targeted accounts. 

  • Meet regional sales goal targets monthly, quarterly, and yearly. 

  • Work sales process by successfully converting opportunities to revenue generating close-won opportunities that provide market share across all emissions technology's product lines.  

  • Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company approved databases through various assigned software. 

  • Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to drive growth.  

  • Develop strong customer relationships to ensure growth of existing accounts. 

  • Liaison with customer support, operations, manufacturing, and external representatives to optimize business. 

  • Support all customer service functions and assist as needed. 

  • Provide technical dashboard training to clients. 

  • Communicate customer feedback for customer experience information and future product development. 

  • Manage internal and external resources to ensure sales quotes are accurate and on time. 

  • Process purchase order, quotes; enter and book sales orders in Oracle, POS tickets and/or purchase orders. 

  • Push tickets to Manager Review in Salesforce. 

  • Booking and closing end of day orders in Oracle (or another program). 

  • Pull invoices and assist with invoice delivery, and work with the Finance team to collect payment and any information needed.  

  • Maintain expert level of product and application knowledge regarding atmospheric sciences. 

  • Undertake project tasks and other duties as required. 

 

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, Entrepreneurship or similar. 

  • Ability to multitask. 

  • Strong attention to detail. 

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

  • Practical computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal business systems). 

  • Salesforce (or other CRM) Experience and Oracle. 

  • Ability to work without direct supervision. 

  • A collaborative attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company. 

  • Service oriented attitude. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of direct sales, internal sales experience, customer relations or marketing.

  • Experience and knowledge of ESG, emissions or atmospheric science.

  • Oil & gas industry experience. 

  • History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation. 

  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task. 

  • Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills. 

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Minimal bending, lifting to 10lbs, reaching, twisting, stretching, pushing, pulling up to 10%. 

  • Frequent standing and walking between 33% and 66%. 

  • Constant collating/filing, using a keyboard, dialing, sitting, seeing, hearing, writing, and speaking greater than 66%.
